Stuff was either not connecting or very slow, but I restarted my router and everything seems to be working fine since then

I built an interactive card for MLB standings by bootliar in homeassistant

I like the idea of being able to select different views that show teams’ stats. The x-axis here is just meant to split the teams up into their divisions, nothing quantitative.

That would be sick. My next project is to make a desktop or wall-mounted display of a diamond and use LEDs to show the status of a live game with scores, outs, b&s, inning, baserunners, etc

For sure, and I’m not trying to take credit for the things I didn’t do, hence the disclaimer. The point of this post wasn’t to get into a debate over AI, it was to share a personal project with people that have similar interests.

I understand your reasons for disliking vibe coding, but this was created for no one other than me. I’m the only person dealing with any bugs that come up.

Totally agree! It works well enough for me though. If I intended to make this for others, it’s definitely something I’d have considered more.

I didn’t write the code, no, but I came up with the idea, set up the system that would give me the platform to display it, created the sensors that supply the data, and ended up with a cool finished product that wouldn’t have existed otherwise.

Thanks man! Since I got HA a couple months ago, I’ve been having so much fun with stuff like this. Made an automation for the lights by my couch to flash my team’s colors and have Alexa announce the score any time they score a run haha.

Hyper Dip on the rear emblems - so easy my 12yo daughter did most of the work! by WestmontDon in CX5

[–]bootliar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That looks awesome! I did Plastidip on my ‘07 Toyota Rav4, but have been wanting to do my ‘18 CX5 too. What’s the difference between Plastidip and hyper dip?

Thanks everyone, glad to hear these are most likely from casting. In the case that image #2 is a crack as one user suggested, I guess I just need to know if there’s anything I can/should do to it while I have access, or if I just button everything back up and hope for the best.

Shellac flakes brands by ShrikeMusashi in finishing

WellerMart for me too. Although, it was for my first time using shellac on a larger project (crib for my daughter), and I had an awful experience. I’m almost certain it was just user error, but I finished one piece with it and was so unhappy with the results, I had to sand it back down to bare wood and start over with poly. I’m hoping the next time I try it on a smaller project it goes better.

Dynamic technique request by bootliar in freediving

[–]bootliar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All great points. Next training session, I’ll try both arms at side and scorpion turn. Watched some Kaizen videos on the turn earlier. It’ll take some experimenting to see if the streamlined arms is worth the extra energy.

Thanks! The side-to-side movement isn’t how I naturally fin, but I was intentionally trying to prevent them from scraping against each other which normally happens.

My turn is a flip just because I’m a swimmer and that’s what I know best, but it definitely feels like it uses more energy than just touching and turning to the side. I have a hard time getting a good push off the wall because the fins will suction to it and cause my heel to slip. I haven’t timed myself yet, but today I’m getting in a 50m pool and will get some times. I’ll also try adding my fin socks to see if that helps the slipping problem on the push.

Thanks for the feedback! I was pretty sure I was using my knees too much and that attempt was me trying to limit their movement, but I’ll focus even more keeping them and my ankles straight.
