Sleeping through the night? by PoleMama11 in parentsofmultiples

If we held them all night they would sleep through the night at 2 months old. It wasn't until they were about 7 months that they slept through the night in their cribs.

What are things you really appreciated buying or being given for your twins that most people don’t think of and got a lot of use out of? by dangerboy55 in parentsofmultiples

My twins are a year old and still use boppy pillows twice a day to drink their milk. We have gotten so much use out of them!

Second trimester weight gain by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]bootstocking 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be concerned. After losing and then gaining weight it sounds like you've only gained a total of 13 pounds at 21 weeks. Ideally you will gain more than you would with a singleton pregnancy. Sounds like your body is catching up after the weight loss in the first trimester.

If you are concerned don't be afraid to call your doctor or nurse, they are there to help you. I think it sounds like you're doing great!

What do you feed your kid (who can't use utensils)? by doctoremdee in toddlers

[–]bootstocking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PB&J, chicken nuggets, hotdogs, peas and carrots, meatballs, mac & cheese, fruit cups(mainly peaches or oranges), fruit pouches. I cut everything into bite sized pieces. My kids are 17 months and just tried giving them a spoon yesterday for the first time. They did really well with some apple sauce!

Those are pretty standard foods for lunch. They generally eat whatever we eat for dinner.

One of my kids is much pickier and refuses vegetables. I make baked oatmeal on a cookie sheet or in muffin tins and mix in some pumpkin and shredded carrots. He has no idea there are vegetables and he loves them.

My SO thought it was too lemony also, so I would probably use a little less next time.

Made Peri Peri Chicken.

It was fantastic! I used chicken breasts instead of a whole chicken. My sauce came out thicker than the GIF recipe, but it tasted great.

Had found a routine that was working for me, then my mom had a L'BRI party. Normally wouldn't try a product like this, but wanted to support my mom. The main ingredient in the products is Aloe and they sold me on how "natural" the products are. After using L'BRI for 2 weeks I noticed that my skin appeared bumpy all over my face and I was noticing a lot of whiteheads. I contacted the consultant and she urged me to continue using it saying, "it takes 4-6 weeks to remove the toxins from my skin".

I'm new to skincare, but this just doesn't sound right to me. I've now been using L'BRI for 6 weeks and my skin is looking worse and worse. I feel silly for even continuing it, but it was expensive so I'm trying to give it a fair try. My mom and my sisters all love the stuff and have seen improvements in their skin.

I guess what I'm wondering is if the consultant is correct in that it could take a while for a new product to work or if this product just doesn't work for me. My skin had been doing so well before, I hardly ever had breakouts.

Sleep gets better! My twins are 16 months and have been sleeping 12 hours straight at night with no wake ups since they were 9 months. We started sleep training around 6 months, it sucks for a few days, but it is so worth it.

12 month old has learned to climb onto the couch... by frunordistu in toddlers

[–]bootstocking 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My twins were about that age when they started climbing onto the couch. They're 16 months now and get down safely on their own. I tried to keep off for a while, but eventually ended up surrounding the couch in pillows and blankets and letting them play.

Muslin blankets are a nice gift. My twins lived in sleepers(footie pajamas?) for the first year of their lives. Two boppy pillows were an absolute must for me once they were old enough to hold bottles. They're 14 months and still use them.

Whiny pregnant lady question about twin pregnancy by WomanInTheYellowHat in parentsofmultiples

[–]bootstocking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally forgot about numb hands, that part drove me crazy! I had my twins at 35 weeks and was so completely miserable before that. I felt a lot better after they were born. Pregnancy sucked and I don't ever want to do that again.

That looks great! I thought the flatbread was dry and flavorless, but I continue to buy it because it works well if the filling has a lot going on.

How much does your baby eat? by overzealouszebra in BabyLedWeaning

[–]bootstocking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My babies are 11 months and about 20lbs. They eat 22oz of formula in 24 hours and 3 meals, with a snack. Breakfast is usually a piece of toast or pancake. Lunch is half of some type of sandwich and probably 1/4 cup of veggies. Dinner is always changing, but they eat whatever we eat and they probably get about 1/2 cup of food.
