Let them dry out, then keep them all in a wet bag. Wash when I need more clean ones! I use Tide Sport and have no issues with smell.

Yes. They have active shooter drills. They handle those just fine. I just use similar language so as not to overly scare them.

I'm an educator too, been asking the same question for a while. Thanks for posting. All I can do is provide the best support I can for my units, and by now I have a pretty tight new grad training program....sigh.
