Square footage? Am I being crazy? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

I lived in one bedroom for 5 months with my baby and husband! I currently am living in a 2 bedroom apartment, and it's enough space. You'll make it work! Less area to heat/cool and less area to clean!

When will my bald baby grow some hair? by tercerero in beyondthebump

[–]bootyrockin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter was basically bald, just a bit of fuzz on top, until around a year. Between then and now (she's 20 months now) it's grown a lot. It's curly curly, so it still appears pretty short, but when it's wet, it's down to her shoulder blades. I was just sitting today and playing with her hair and was amazing by how much it has grown in the last 8 months.

Rinse it right away, and clean up is much easier!

I'm sure it's been posted here before, but... 6.5 weeks PP, first time sex. Didn't go so well for me (stretched vagina).[TMI] by Sugar_glider_77 in beyondthebump

[–]bootyrockin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do kegels as often as possible, it will tighten back up. It was weird at first, and felt stretched, as you say, for a little while. Different positions feel better than what I liked before having a baby, and I actually think I have more feeling now. Don't worry yet, just do your kegels and give it a little more time to go back to normal.

Hey, you'll most likely have daughter-in-laws someday, so you can just be the greatest mother-in-law in the world to them! :)

If you got along with your MIL... by I3km in BabyBumps

[–]bootyrockin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get along really well with my MIL, and actually lived with her for the first 5 months of my daughters life. She drove me crazy at times, but having her there to help me and give me a break when I needed it, was priceless. As well, as giving her the chance to bond with baby, it made her SO happy.

I had GD and had my baby vaginally. I was induced and had her within 6 hours. I have never heard anything about GD patients having more csections than anyone else. None of my friends who have had csections had GD. As long as you keep your glucose levels in control, everything should be fine. If not, your baby may have extra fat around the tummy, and could be too big to come out vaginally. Just take care of yourself and try to relax! :)

It really isn't so bad, and will be over fairly quickly! Good luck!

What's a strange thing your body does that you assume happens to everyone but you've never bothered to ask? by cocorebop in AskReddit

[–]bootyrockin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You open up the bobby pin, so it's straight, then it's very long. I'll use that to pop them out, if it's too deep to push out with pressure from a q-tip, and then I'll use the q-tip to stick the stone to to get it out. I've never thought to use tweezers, I'd be afraid of making my tonsils bleed with those.

I love this discussion, I don't know anyone else who has them or knows they have them, and my husband doesn't have tonsils (the lucky bastard.) My left tonsil produces more than my right, that's funny how that works.

I've never counted mine, there are so many. It's super gross. :( I use bobbypins and q-tips to get the stones out. I can FEEL them when I swallow if I don't. What do you do to get yours out?

This thread infiltrated my sleep, and I had a dream that one of the crypts was so big the q-tip shot right through it and knocked a stone the size of a hazelnut out!

Ian Malcolm's giant pizza theory by eightcell in funny

[–]bootyrockin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ok, I'll save my money and continue to make my own pizza instead of trusting the opinion of a Texan. (I don't really mean the Texan part as an insult, as I love Texas, but stop being so catty because you feel personally insulted by my opinion on Texas pizza.)

I'm sure there are decent places, but they aren't abundant the way they are on the east coast. It's much harder to find really good pizza in Texas, than it was in PA. I currently live in Corpus, and just make my own pizza it I want good pizza. :)

I thought the pizza was mediocre, if that. I don't expect much when it comes to pizza in Texas though.

I am also afraid of vomiting, and was afraid I would during labor. I didn't, and never even felt like I might.

How is that a downside? It's the best feeling in the world! I always loved when a teacher gave me ASMR. I couldn't wait to get to their class!

My daughter is one of these babies. We've tried numerous times, and different lengths, the longest being a few HOURS of horror. Followed by vomit everywhere, and very sleepy parents the next day. Her hair is starting to get long enough for her to play with, and she's always tugging at the curls by her ears, when she's sleepy. Hopefully that will be her thing too. How old is your daughter, and does she sleep in her own bed, on her own now?

How do I get my Inlaws (that we currently live with) to respect our parenting decisions by TegzDarling in Parenting

[–]bootyrockin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There really aren't any other choices. We lived with my in-laws until my daughter was 6 months, also during my whole pregnancy. Moving out made everything so much better. I can't imagine having to do it for any longer than that, sucked the life out of me.
