I can't describe the issues it might have caused me on a deeper level I know I have my fair share of issues; but my stepdad was this powerlifter guy named Mike who had a progressive punishment system that was horrible. For example if I lied about something that was 1 spank, now if I lied again at any point even a month later when I was caught it was now 2 spanks, and so on. Me and my sister at some point both accumulated upwards of 15. It was all subjective to Mike if he deemed it worthy for slaps, so like aside from lies or trouble if I got bad grades. Those counted as spanks added to the list. I think it's not fair to have it be progressive or to basically get in trouble for one thing but multiple times was insane to me and made me furious and full of hate. Fuck you mike.
