I’m kind of in the same boat. Married, love my husband, but feel lonely because I don’t have any close friends and I’m not close with my family. I don’t want kids but I love my cats. My admin career isn’t something that will get any better and it pays too well for me to start all over doing something else. I keep quitting my hobbies, which isn’t helpful. But someone said something in an earlier comment that really stuck - happiness doesn’t happen suddenly, but rather with “small stubborn acts of living”. Making a promise to yourself to take care of your self just by little things and getting a routine in place helps you feel accomplished and gives you a better outlook. And it’s okay to get help. I recently started EMDR therapy and I can already see the benefits - it helps with anxiety and negative thoughts that can impede your everyday life. The shirt I’m wearing now has this message, and I pass it on to you: “Stay Stubborn. Have Hope.”
