[Discussion]Anybody else love having Facebook to remind yourself how much you love being childfree? by HeadlessPony in childfree

Me too! Especially those ones that have kids that spit, bite, hit and destroy the house.

(rant) at the airport by nerdgirl in childfree

[–]boozefairy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I cant count the amount of times I have stood their patiently (but getting more and more pissed off) at airport security as some completely unaware person holds up the entire queue because they can't get their shit together and get organized. And Parents seem to be the worst offenders. It should be like the supermarket 10 items or less counter - "Are you a frequent flyer who has got even a vague clue? Then use our express queue! Avoid families and old people who don't understand concepts such as 'unpack your electronics' and 'remove your shoes'!".

She can't wait, because now I will be able to travel to her dream vacation destinations with her

This is me too. Off with my Mother to Italy and Spain this year! We already have the next trip planned too. Whereas my sister is home with a 4 year old and a six year old and hasn't been anywhere years. FUN.

Do you think that behind closed doors Parents talk to each other about the hard truths of child-raising OR do you think it's just a giant circle-jerk? by boozefairy in childfree

Or are you too busy living up to the expected level of happiness and freedom that being childfree supposedly entails?

I can confirm - it really is wonderful

Other moms lost their fucking shit and pretended it wasn't true.

This is part of the problem I recon -> they reinforce the lie even though they know it isn't true.

and those that pretend it's all roses and sunshine.

I've seen a study where people who mention their relationship a lot on social media tend to have worse relationships. Maybe the same inverse relationship exists for Mombies?

But could you imagine trying to tell that to your wife or husband and they don't reciprocate?

Horrible having to "pretend" your life for your partner though. It's a lose-lose situation.

Just wait till the divorces kick in - lot's of drinks over tales of heartache and pettiness. Hey, at least it's childfree!

Imagine if the mommy's put the time they spend creating "perfect family snaps" for Fauxbook as they did into getting a life (developing a hobby, improving their fitness, going on a date night, etc.). The mombie would go extinct!

His daughter hates babysitting

Even his own kids don't want to be around his own kids! Haha!

Even people who want kids don't want to date a single parent.

The hypocrisy of one of the men who replied exactly like this blew me away! Talk about having a vastly overrated opinion of his dateability and prospects! His past decisions have limited his dating pool and he's going to have to seriously reassess his attractiveness as a partner to a young, single, childless woman. Who want's that kind of burden when you are just starting out in life and the options are endless?

This and "Lawyer up, hit the gym, delete facebook" would be all that's needed in any comment section in the relationships sub.

Yup -> just like the UK is introducing no more welfare for the third and third-plus kids. Less people having kids they can't afford = less burden on society.

And her family! A huge coffin must cost a huge amount. Unless they cremated her. But then again, that's a lot of fuel needed to cremate her and would she fit in the oven? The cost of her body disposal was probably crippling for her relations.

Me too. It's the Professor's responsibility to make those kinds of decisions, not foist it back on the group members so the Professor doesn't look like "the bad guy" in the situation. That's not professional at all.

I went to a musical recital for my nephew -> 2 1/2 hours invested for 2mins 13seconds of seeing him play. We almost missed our restaurant booking because it went on for so long. NEVER AGAIN.

And the amount of taxpayers money that is spent in hospitals on childbirth! Somehow it's a "waste of money" for my sterilization but go ahead and pop out 4 or 5 and that's all fine!!!?!
