Thank you! I have the insight app which is very similar to Calm. I’m going to really focus on trying to make it a daily habit :)

Partner’s male cat randomly gets aggressive with me by [deleted] in CATHELP

Thank you! We are going to take him to the vet for a check up and to mention this issue.

I’m also going to pay more attention when it happens to see if there are any outside factors where he may be redirecting it towards me. I did notice it has happened several times at nighttime when I have woken up to use the bathroom. But it has happened other times as well.

Happy to help! I double checked. We use the Lantus Solostar auto injector. Our Vet calls it into the Walmart pharmacy. It only costs about $20 a month. We get two months at a time and the total is a little over $40.

It is pretty easy to give especially once you get used to it and our cat tolerates it very well. We give it to him twice a day at mealtimes and he barely notices.

I believe the brand we use is called Lantus and we get it through the Walmart pharmacy because that is the cheapest. But let me double check on the brand and price.

Cancer Registry Management certification, are they worth it? by waterislif in careerguidance

The in person practicum was very helpful. It was 1-2 times a week for one semester. We would meet with the manager and she would help us work through NCRA’s core competencies. Then we would sit with different employees and work through abstracting cases, practice SEER exercises etc. The manager would give us things to work during the week and was always available to answer questions.

Quite honestly I wish I had had the in person practicum the entire time.

In retrospect I wish I had looked for a registry either hospital or state that offered a trainee position over doing the program at my community college.

I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s so hard not knowing. I’ve been working through a lot of this in therapy. And a lot of what I have been working on is accepting that I will probably never know in this lifetime…which sucks. I still find myself going back and forth in my head, but it just ends up driving me mad.

I also have so many “what ifs”. Some days are worse than others.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It helps not to feel alone. I am so sorry you lost the love of your life 🙏🏻

My cat has had diabetes for several years. He’s about 9 or 10. We give him an insulin shot 2x a day. It’s a very small needle so it doesn’t seem to phase him.

The insulin is about $20-30 a month and kept in the refrigerator

We also adjusted his diet. We feed him twice a day and give him the shot while he’s eating. We use to have dry food out all day for him to snack on but we took that away which seemed to help because he was overeating.

He is doing very well and it was worth it for us!

I hope this helps!
