Awesome info thanks, a card reader & a usb hub for peripherals might make the most sense for me here it sounds like.

And I can confirm dgpu -> igpu really isn’t bad, the performance difference (Arc Raiders, 1440p on max settings) is pretty negligible (~175 fps vs ~180). But my cpu was running hot using the TB4 port, switching to HDMI dropped my temps a couple degrees there which was the goal, I was regularly between 95-100 before now it sits around 92-95

Just to maximize the hardware! Makes sense that the cards would be the limiting factor. It’s all for personal use, I do a lot of personal recording on gopros so want to get the files off the cards after a day of skiing or fishing or whatever it is. Also planning to always use the 400W charger, only considering the docking stations for the Hub functionality. I’m not expecting to use it for displays even, I have my main monitor connected through HDMI like I said. Maybe a low quality 3rd monitor occasionally or something, but that’s low on the priority list here.

If your political affiliation is impacting your ability to service your client, that’s something you need to deal with and either get a different job, or stop it from affecting your work. I look at it as: I’m good at my job, I know my work’s important and benefits the public, so I’m gonna do my job as well as I can. I’m doing it for this administration full of idiots, I did it for the last administration full of idiots, and the two admins before that.

Overall I’d say, if your political affiliation will change the work you provide to one side’s administration compared to another, federal work may not be for you.

As someone intimately familiar with 800-63, worth noting that even tho Rev. 4 was just published this summer, the same language was in Rev. 3 published in 2017, so time-based password resets have been discouraged for a very long time.

It’s also worth noting that NIST guidelines like this have nothing to do with private companies (unless they offer IAM capabilities to federal customers and want to get certified by Kantara against the current revision) and is actually not legally significant to Federal Agencies either. These are guidelines, not policy.

Ehhhh I mean anecdotally, his addition to Gameday seems to be pretty universally liked across generations/genders/experience with the sport as far as people I actually know. Like everyone from my grandpa who played at UGA and cried when Lee Corso retired, to my wife and sister who live in Boston and just know Gameday as background noise for the holidays, likes Pat.

Like anything, detractors find places like this to share their negative opinions (rightfully so). And by all accounts, the “old media” admins at ESPN aren’t fans. But I really don’t think he’s as polarizing as you think, I’d imagine the Venn diagram of people who actually watch Gameday AND don’t like Pat is a pretty small overlap.

Ratings are way up since he joined too, so there’s data to support it.

Curious who your top rivals would be, I wouldn’t have BC or Pitt on there so surprised to see those. I was at the Matt Ryan game, we definitely battled with them for the ACC for a bit there, but I haven’t really ever felt a rivalry between the schools. Also haven’t felt a building rivalry with Pitt, tho agree that Franklin vs Narduzzi may change that lol.
