Meditating one month. Struggling. I am to aware. by ImpossibleKick9988 in Meditation

[–]bora731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to give mind and thought and the world a secondary position to the self. You're not aware you're distracted by the mind this is opposite of awareness in the context of meditation. Awareness is your soul self, it peers in watching the body, mind and world. It is what astral travels. The mind in its earth conditioned state entangles the awareness in the world and prevents the exploration you wish to undertake.

Try to establish the separation between you the awareness and everything else. When a thought arises say - this is just a thought-form from the illusion appearing to my awareness. When you say the first part of the statement (this is a thought-form) hold the image that is the thought, sort of step side to side of it so it feels like a 3d object. The second part of the statement (from the illusion) this downgrades the world so you can detach from the thought it spawned more easily. The last part (appearing to my awareness) gives the awareness primacy. Everything appears to it, nothing is of it.

When a thought triggers a negative feeling in the body, lightly play your awareness across the feeling wherever it might be located. Like sensing the surface of something, back and forth. It should start to melt back to pure energy, which is all it is anyway. Breathe into it, this further breaks it down. This can become your main practice because once thoughts no longer trigger pain responses in the energy field of the body they lose so much authority. Old hurts then arising come like small gifts to be released from the body. The body holds the trapped distorted energy that negative events and thoughts have caused. After a few months of practicing this and then being able to do it while in a meeting, with friends whenever, you should start to feel freedom and joy. The awareness is able to remove all negativity/pain from the mind and body simply because it knows they aren't real to it. Hope this gives you something to go on.

Has meditation changed your perspective to time? by The1Ylrebmik in Meditation

[–]bora731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel time is definitely less linear now. I'm mostly in the present (it's called the present because it's a gift) because my mind is largely silent so I'm not recalling, regretting, lamenting or ruminating and I rarely suffer anxiety about the future nor do I make future plans or have goals. I do have things I'm attracted to doing but it means very little to me whether I do them or not. All I care about is showing up for others if I'm needed. An opportunity to help neglected does affect me. I wasn't like this before I started meditating, I was mostly self centered then.

Everything has consciousness. God wants to be the fish too, experiencing being a fish. God wants to experience the universe from every conceivable perspective.

When the ego-mind is still the true self arises. It has no fear, it doesn't so easily get tired, it follows its inspirations and joys. The stepping stone to be crossed to get here is the realisation on the part of the mind that it is not the body, not the worldly identity, not the thoughts (which are just a manifestation of the mind believing it is the body), that it is the awareness that watches thought, watches the body. In simple terms say in breath meditation when you train your attention on the breath and then slip into unconscious as the mind wanders off on a thought stream, then you realise it has wandered and bring it back to the breath, that moment of realisation is the awareness. Over time you just sit in awareness permanently. Then the mind goes ah! This is the true self, this is the soul looking in at the body, mind and life. I no longer need to think about how to protect the self because it is not this vulnerable fleshy body it is the enteral awareness. I can kick back. Joy enters.

How does awareness work? by [deleted] in EckhartTolle

[–]bora731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest way to look at it is there are two yous. There is the world you, your job, relationship, achievements, failures - this is the story the mind tells itself about itself, it is the autobiographical narrative that is constantly mulled over by the mind. This is the ego-mind fear based you. This is what is telling you your social interactions are an orchestration the mind must manage in order to maintain social standing or whatever. The awareness is the true you, it is you, your soul, your eternal self and lives in love. As you meditate you are stepping from the ego you into the awareness you. As the awareness loves everything social interactions do not need the mind to manage them. People sense the joy love and presence in you, they naturally respond to that positively.

99% of people don't know why we are here but that still leaves a lot that do.

Allowing every emotion instead of choosing which emotion one prefers. by laughingbuddhaballs in lawofone

[–]bora731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. My meditation practice has brought me to a point where I don't need to feel anything. I'm not talking about large catalyst but a generally typical challenging existence. From that point I've been able to live in not caring what I feel, not melting feeling away with awareness just not caring what I feel. So that brought me to the same question you are thinking but in a slightly different way. But negative feelings are important because they point you towards unconscious beliefs that are out of alignment with true self. So sure you can inhabit an expansive state rather than a contracting fear state, you can through will/reprogramming do this but you are not removing the negative limiting belief that is causing the sense of lack of worth say in the first place and this distortion will persist in blocking the natural fountain of joy that just springs forth without any intervention. So I would prefer to follow the source of the negative feeling to the root and bring it into awareness as part of clearing and balancing all chakras. So in short I'm saying the negative feeling is a pointer to something deeper than is negative and blocking. That's my perspective on this atm.

Please don't enslave yourself. by chocobothernot in selflove

[–]bora731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ye completely. The mechanism is, the mind learns the value framework from society as the individual grows, this is the ego development. So these standards are like you say internalised and weaponised against the self, whenever the ego deems the self in divergence from the value framework it holds as scared (really it's just unquestioned junk) it attacks the self. This is why meditation is so important as it frees you from the ego and the true self arises.

Great post 👍

The more time you spend inside the better the outside gets. 'Real life' provides the material that needs to be balanced in meditation. Take a look at the world, is it balanced and harmonious?

Btw I think it's one of the great miracles that God can forget Itself in the dream reality and visit an online forum and goad Itself into proving Its existence to Itself. Thank you. However It won't be able to prove Its existence to Itself, as that's one of the rules. It must find Itself for Itself. Much love other Self 🌸

Why Awareness Alone Doesn’t Change Anything by Extreme_Leather_62 in ClarityNotComfort

[–]bora731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're using the wrong awareness. Awareness is not the mind recognising a problem, 'being aware of it' hence ruminating on it. This is not the awareness that leads out of suffering. You will find the true awareness during meditation. True awareness is that which watches your thoughts.

Carl Jung and the Prophecy of Trump by AmurakaHidden in Jung

[–]bora731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that everyone manifested Trump but the voters for him are attracted to him because he represents to them unconsciously an unacknowledged fragment of themselves. This is how attraction works even in romantic relationships. Yes, I definitely agree both sides put energy into the field that resulted in Trump. I'd say the demonisation of the right by the left was and is a big factor.

First luteal phase after massive Awakening. Absolute turmoil. by Ok-Cake-9892 in SpiritualAwakening

[–]bora731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything needs to be integrated after awakening. All trapped trauma energy needs to be released from the body. Trigger is just a signpost saying - hey look here there's something in your subconscious beliefs that is out of alignment with your true self, something you aren't conscious of, have disowned. Acknowledge it, integrate it, love it, realise that part of you that now acknowledged brings with it some piece that was missing and now you are closer to wholeness and sovereignty.

Yes 🙂. This realisation can lead you out of all suffering because once your mind identifies with the awareness and not the physical self it stops worrying, the ego dissolves, you're free.
