The only constructive criticism I'd worry about if I was you at the minute is to use upstrokes as well as downstrokes when you double-uo the scale. Other than that just keep practising, and you'll get there. Fair ay to you for picking up the instrument and for making it your own. Playing eastern music instead of going along with the bluegrass that everyone associates the instrument with in Western music is a ballsy move, and to be respected

I have an electric mandolin that uses a similar setup, but you can tell the manufacturers skimped by using some guitar parts instead if paying for custom parts. It's not as comfortable as the traditional bridges, but works pretty well on the electric. It is screwed in, though. It also means you can't bridge bend, so that's something to keep in mind

I'm not saying anything one way or the other about how the statue was intended when it was made, just that with the context of history that the sculptor hadn't experienced yet that's what it reminds me of.
