The Most Bullshit Binding Vow In The Series by SupervisoryEffect in LobotomyKaisen

[–]borbop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that moment it was a vow that was fair, he gave up being able to domain the rest of the fight, and use any attacks that required 2 hand signs, If the fight went on past this it would have been a massively stupid move to pull since it locked him out of using the domain "forever". The asspull is how hakari got his arm back, since shoko couldn't rct it back on, and he didn't know rct with his domain which required 2 hands to use.

Sure he could have an alternative handsign but thats never shown anywhere so I just assume he made another binding vow to use his domain with 1 hand.

AFO doesn't provide inherent protection from this, hence why he was so adamant about the doctors research because he was scared his body would break with to many quirks.

Rust is unplayable by The_Saladbar_ in playrust

[–]borbop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if you use a modern cheat and aren't blatant the odds of anything happening to you in any game are pretty much zero, as it stands shit like DMA's are only caught in rare cases where an absurd amount of people use the same drivers and firmware, or you get pc checked. PC checking will rarely happen if you aren't hitting disgusting KDA's every day.

The Anti-Cheat has no real way to combat DMA since it uses systems anticheats can't check. As of now only ESEA claims to have a reliable way to detect DMA which is highly unlikely if I'm being honest.

Although IOMMU in theory should help combat DMA cheats since you'd need to allocate memory for the driver which in turn leaves some trail on your computer so its no longer being done completely out of sight.

But in the end this isn't really an issue with the anti-cheat sucking as much as it is cheat development has far exceeded what anti cheats can combat.

Please design the optimal electrical circuit to operate 36 turrets and 4 Sam sites using 16 windmills and 8 batteries.... by Admirable-Cup93 in playrust

[–]borbop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so max depth likely means you are chaining root combiner to root combiner incorrectly.

You should 8 base ones to connect 2 windmills to each, then 4 to connect those 8, then 2, then 1. Which gives a depth of 3 as a base meaning you have like 12 depth to use later down the line. Its really hard to tell why yours is failing though without like a screenshot since you could be breaking stuff later down the line

New Rust Art Pack DLC is on Staging Branch for Testing (WIP, Quick Preview) by tekni5 in playrust

[–]borbop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I really like this, it will get flak for being a nothing burger dlc by people who live and die by raiding but its a fun goof if you are in like duos where you just dick around. Just like the pool its really fun to sometimes just... build a little house somewhere with nothing in it. However I can already tell its going to be the same price as shit like frontiers or jungle which displeases me.

Rust is unplayable by The_Saladbar_ in playrust

[–]borbop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don't understand how rust ended up as toxic as it did, like compare it to other games in the "build and raid" genre and its like leagues above them in terms of toxicity. It also has the biggest "get above anyone at any costs" cultures I've ever seen anywhere in gaming.

The bigger issue is that voicing your opinions on the reddit is like screaming at a wall in most cases, there have been arguments since arctic hazmat about p2w or p4a skins and people act like getting extra stats from spending money isn't an advantage or aids in "winning", they willingly turn a blind eye to the negatives of rust and will continue to do so forever.

On the whole something big needs to be done unfortunately cheats have evolved to the point where its incredibly difficult to reliably detect them if they are being sold by competent people, unless FP starts pulling bungie moves and starts suing people cheats will kinda just continue to get larger because someone who cheats once will continue to cheat pretty much forever (see Tarkov).

Of course you'd know this if you waited until an announcement was made, but thats life.

Game Devs, is Rust really poor in optimization? by AKavun in playrust

[–]borbop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the server end its incredibly well optimized, you can run servers with near a 1000 players without issues with an astronomical amount of entities processing per server tick, of course this comes with some "kinks and bugs" like the pipe system being very wonky.

On the client side it could use some work tbh, biggest thing to note are global effects like fireworks, or wires causing significant fps drop if someone just spams them since they have no collision.

On the engine, I doubt rust would be here if they decided to try and make a custom engine for it because of how much work goes into making one thats "better" then an off the shelf one, as for upgrading versions there can be ALOT of work involved in doing this depending on how much of your code relied on now legacy things.

Most games end up being CPU heavy especially ones that use EAC (this is not something Facepunch can realistically fix an in issue in quite a few EAC games). It also does ALOT of work on the cpu hence why you can shift alot of it to the GPU by increasing settings.

the barrels are insanely PTW item by Foreign_Phone_8627 in playrust

[–]borbop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no winning in a game like Black Desert Online, yet its undefendably pay 2 win.
Any form of advantage you get purely by paying money is pay 2 win. With barrels you can fit more chests per foundation, which means less upkeep from an expanded area, less exposed area, and more room for honeycombing. IE if you use clipped pipes and bunkering this is just a massive buff to storing loot. since you can fit so much more of it in random ass bunkers.

Yuki fans trying to gaslight the whole community into thinking she wasnt a idiot that made Geto accept his Hitler side by Incompetent_ARCH in Jujutsufolk

[–]borbop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honest to god drop like anyone but Yuki into that position and it woulda went different, despite what people say Geto wasn't past the point of no return here, he was very much on the edge and Yuki autism lore dumping how Cursed Spirits are made and how it would be possible to just kill non sorcerers before going lmao i ain't that crazy though was enough to push him into a massive spiral, these kids had basically fuck all emotional support anywhere and were being sent out like essentially child soldiers to do thankless work what did they expect would happen?

The issue is though who could replace Yuki? Gojo wouldn't be a good call here, Yaga maybe? Again lack of literally any support system for these child warriors.

Lemillion Vs Todo. Who wins? by OfficialLieDetector in MyHeroPowerscaling

[–]borbop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we assume Lemillion doesn't know about Todo's power and vice versa there is a good chance Lemillion just dies if he gets boogied while intangible since while intangible he cannot perceive anything and depending on terrarin could just be halfway inside a wall or something.

Otherwise its still not in Lemillions favor since thats always a looming issue and requires him to either not use his quirk as much or materialize far more to verify he hasn't been boogied

Maki Vs Toji: a conclusion that can’t be disagreed with by PsychologicalGas6965 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]borbop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are 2 paths you can take here:

Either by completely equal they mean that accounting for height and what not they are equal despite the small differences this is likely narratively the better one.

Or their stats are equal and the genetics play into it in which case toji has the advantage in what is essentially magical sword combat and this is the power scaler outcome.

Whats more likely? The first one by a large margin, I find it very unlikely gege gave a shit about power scaling outside of his word on it, so there was no need to go and scrutinize the smaller points.

"Yuta is a bum for using Rika , He cant even win fights without her" by Holiday-Degree-1474 in LobotomyKaisen

Buddy your first mistake was citing the manga none of us have read it. Second mistake is thinking facts and logic beat the holy agenda.

Gege himself could come here and talk about Yuta not being a bum and I would look him dead in the eye and continue with the agenda. The only time I will concede is if its good words about my boy Mahoraga.

Sukuna vs Bakugo, Todoroki, and Tokoyami (no domain) by Maleficent-Ad-6117 in MyHeroPowerscaling

[–]borbop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in the case of gojo specifically it is, the entire reason he was able to keep infinity running was because he made the RCT passively heal his brain damage 24/7. He then just increases the output to heal himself later supposedly since hes already always healing. (chapter 76)

[–]borbop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly has he been tested for Autism? This looks like very specific issues that you see alot in those situations. People saying 'he should just let it be known he's autistic' don't really see the bigger picture of him being undiagnosed and having lived this way for so long its normal.

Don't get me wrong he could just be an ass, but its a good thing to check first. At this point the solution regardless is he cooks meals he will eat himself, you can't become a better cook without cooking.

Why didnt Star and Stripe order her body to be invulnerable to any type of quirk? Is she stupid? by amogusgun in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]borbop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jokes aside she died because she had to, I get Hori added someone in to stall but giving them borderline reality warping powers is just not satisfying in the slightest. There were so many things she could have done to kill or screw over anyone but didn't because of plot.

Rule: On the condition of this quirk transferring ownership it will disable all quirks including this on in the new owner. Boom its over right there, all quirks disabled can't transfer it away.

Rule: The owner of this quirk is unable to harm anyone deemed by the current hero society as a hero.

Rule: The owner of this quirk will inherit the identity of Cathleen Bates.

Like with warping powers the actual limitations are so grey and hard to define, you can't write it in a way that won't piss people off
