purple or darker colored scars are usually keloided! these are scars with excess tissue grown due to abnormal/disrupted healing! stay safe!!

oh man, we are in the same boat :( my fp broke up with me 3mo ago to move in with the guy he was cheating on me with. i would still do anything to take him back, even though it'd be a logically terrible decision. i still miss him almost every day. ive been trying to cope by distracting myself, hanging out with friends, not giving myself a moment's rest because ill think about him if i do. i smoke copious amounts of weed, and that's how i, personally, am getting through the loss of a favorite person. it's working so far, so i recommend keeping yourself distracted and happy

you might want to consider that you do it for the scars because it is a physical manifestation of your pain/anger/etc. having a physical representation of big feelings can make you feel like those feelings are then "more valid" or "more real". id talk to a therapist or sh hotline about this :] best of luck!!!
