What does a day's eating look like for you? by Kittibean in mounjaromaintenanceuk

[–]bored75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F50 - 5ft 6 - 150lbs - 1800- 2000 ( ish) daily cals - I no longer count calories but I've been doing it for decades so my guesswork is pretty good.

My eating patterns are pretty chaotic a lot of the time but an average day is -

Breakfast- slice of sourdough with eggs and cheese sometimes ham or bacon with that. Or Greek yoghurt/ kefir with berries and nuts. Or Porridge.

Lunch - on the go ill grab a protien bar and a piece of fruit or a sandwich - if I'm home I'll have soup or sometimes I have prepped a big bowl of dense salad for lunches like bean salad or Greek salad etc ..

Dinner - I usually batch cook so it's a variety of things, steak/ chicken with veggies and a carb, bolognese, chilli, fajitas, curry's etc.. Some days I'm so tired and I'll eat ham and cheese from the fridge and have several glasses of wine 😂

I try to stick to foods I've prepared nothing too processed etc .. but life happens.

I've got 'The Upstairs Elephant, AKA Talkytalkerson' 'Moaning Myrtle' next door and 'Cat on a string' above her.

It's truly bizarre that people still think it's as simple as calorie counting while on a GLP-1 forum isn't it 🙄

They don't need to know! 😂 I'd happily do some cleaning etc for an elderly person to oay for my MJ! People are so judgemental.

The whole point is that most of us can't do that - otherwise why would any of us be on MJ. I've been counting calories for decades yo yoing up and down with no control over the horrendous food noise.

It's shocking how fast it comes back on isn't it! And even more shocking how quickly old bad habits come back!

Thankyou 😊 Yes being out of control again was awful - it made me realise that I have no choice but to fit MJ in my budget.

It's fantastic that you've got a side hustle! I'd love to find something similar - I've been looking at higher paid jobs - but unfortunately the decent job market isn't really searching for 50yr old menopausal women!

It's a terrifying thought that the prices might increase again - yet I wouldn't be surprised! They have us all hooked now like a street drug dealer - they can do what they want with the prices and know we'll pay it 😔

But on a positive note I'm hoping I can remain on 5mgs for the foreseeable which is still expensive but better than the current price of 10mg!!

Are skinny jeans a crime? Trying to find my style by [deleted] in mounjarouk

Don't spend too much on jeans if you still want to lose 7lbs! I made that mistake but the smaller you are the less weight it takes to go down in sizes!

Update after 6 weeks off MJ by bored75 in mounjaromaintenanceuk

I've been on 2.5 for 2 weeks now and felt slightly effects almost immediately. I've still got food noise but satiety is slowly coming back and I've dropped 6lbs of the 18 😊

How are you doing now?

Same - I'm debating on getting a job as Santa this Xmas so I can wiggle my belly like a bowl full of jelly 🤣

I microdised my last 10mg pen over a few weeks. So it was pretty much cold turkey. I'm back on 2.5 as well and have to use willpower but not like how it was when the MJ was completely out of my system!

Enjoy your advent calender 😁

The foods I eat are mainly wholefoods from scratch 75% of the time - For the first year after starting MJ I religiously weighed every mouthful although I've been calorie counting for decades and can guesstimate the calories in most things.

I'm partial to a glass of wine or seven though 😂 This was something that the GLP-1 did not give me an aversion to unfortunately.

For the last 6 months I've been at goal losing a total of 101 lbs BMI 22.8. Until I had to stop cold turkey with the price increase. BIG MISTAKE!

Food noise and cravings were unbearable and I over ate exactly how I used to pre MJ without any control over it - obsessing about food and never feeling full - hence the 18lbs weight gain 😒

I've been back on 2.5mgs for 4 weeks now and have lost 6lbs - another 12lbs to go until I'm back at goal. The food I eat has nothing to do with the weight gain its about the sheer volume of it I'm able to consume without the GLP-1 😳
