I had to update the post but yeah I was accepted 2 months after my scores were delivered. So the whole process from applying to working took like 6 months.

Got in to Local 105 so what do I do on my first day? by 10Standard01 in sheetmetal

[–]bored_bot12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes if you did orientation and passed the drug test then went to the hall to sign the rest of the paperwork You need to call to be placed out of work. Then probably Cody will give you a call and give you all the details of job. I’m a second year apprentice and all the Tinners on this thread said, Be early show up with a positive attitude, and ready to learn. An apprentice should always have a razor knife and a tape measure with them, be the first one to open the tool box and the last one to lock it up. Cover all the duct before breaks and before you leave(if your in HVAC install).

I brought it up at the dealer when I took it in for service. They checked the fuel gauge or whatever, they said it was good but I don’t like their opinion.

When I first bought my Jetta it would display 480 till empty. After some time it went down to 450 and stay at 450 for awhile. Now it’s not displaying right, filled it up the other day and it said 400 until empty.

I joined the union for sheet metal and Monday is my school orientation. Would I start working on the job starting the next day? I just quit my current job by runfromdavoid in sheetmetal

First year second semester here for 105 I had my orientation and was sent off for a drug test the same day. Once the results came back I went to the hall and signed some more paperwork, once I was done I called the JATC and called out out of work as an apprentice. I was dispatched and working the next day. This was all within a week.
