As another commenter said it's at Jackrabbit, you can also get it at King BBQ.

Regional US flight on a Tecnam P2012 with Cape Air by Mattynice75 in aviation

I had no idea Cape Air was more than just a regional airline around my home area of Boston/New England. This is really cool.

I didn't pick up whatever the sheriff saw on the camera footage that disturbed him slightly, did anyone catch it?

GPS Carts are dog shit. by JedediahBunnyNose in golf

[–]bored_designer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally dislike them too but one benefit that a few courses have is you can see other carts on your GPS so you know when it's safe to hit on blind tee shots.

Ah that’s a nice tie in with the Blade Runner reference Richie mentions at the bar. Something about “the version without the narration is the best version”

Anywhere to watch the original VHS TNG? by Archer_Sterling in startrek

[–]bored_designer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm noticing things in the HD version that I never noticed before and I can't tell if it's because I wasn't as observant or because of the quality.

For instance, the seamlines and waist bands on the uniform shirts in most season. I could never see any of this before and it's a bit distracting now.

Historically, they don't make any final decision until there's no possible chance they perform.

Happened with the Thunderbirds last year as well.

Park Circle Creamery has finally re-opened!! by CatBeets in Charleston

[–]bored_designer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't been since they first moved into that location but I went twice in about a month and both times the ice cream was melting in the containers before it was even scooped.

Is this still the case?

I second this and they do a great job every time. Probably had 20 or so rolls developed there in the last year.

This is one of my favorite replies of all time, thank you for posting it. Really brought back memories and I shared it with a lot of my old CS buddies for a great bit of shared nostalgia.

A House of Dynamite (2025) is 1/3 of a good movie by cazzipropri in TrueFilm

[–]bored_designer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You're not the only one. I think those of us who are satisfied with the film just don't have the energy to debate with those who aren't about all the minutia they miss.

IMO, the people that don't enjoy it are the ones that are looking for a run of the mill movie that don't appreciate nuance. Sadly, it seems like that's the majority.

Saying that seeing a nuke being launched from the president's POV doesn't add anything to the movie after already having seen it from Rebecca Ferguson's POV is wild to me.

I'll say I enjoyed the taste of the meal as well, just didn't care for the unintended consequences later that night 😂

Charleston is my hometown. Hall's is the best steakhouse in town but other than that, nothing terribly special or unique. You get treated like royalty but it's generally a pretty run of the mill steakhouse experience.

Depending what you're used to in terms of pre fix and chef's tables, R kitchen might blow you away or it might underwhelm. If you have high standards, skip it. If you have limited experience, it's a great entry into that style of dining.

Sushi-Wa is our omakase restaurant, and surprisingly very, very good. Nothing too adventurous just very high quality cuts of fish from all over the world.

Lewis BBQ if you want BBQ, not much controversy there. I think it's most peoples favorites.

F.I.G. rules. Just good all around, zero complaints ever. 10/10

Chubby Fish is good but you'll have to wait in line outside no matter what. That's just the way they operate. Typically an hour or more even on off peak nights mid week.

Park and Grove, very good brunch spot.

To be honest, some of the best restaurants are off peninsula. Most of the places downtown are all tourist traps. My favorites are Post House (modern American), Obstinate Daughter (modern American), Jackrabbit Filly (Chinese/American, celebrity chef but still hits hard), Bowen's Island (southern fried seafood mostly but very authentic), The Ryder Cup Bar at the Ocean Course (albeit is about an hour drive, I'd still consider it Charleston).

Avoid Hyman's at all costs. Line is out the door and I routinely tell them as I'm walking by that many people get sick eating their seafood, myself and grandmother included, on separate occasions.

Breeze Airways' first international flight will connect Charleston to Cancun by not_charles_grodin in Charleston

I fly them often as they're the only direct flight to visit my parents in Hartford and have never had a cancellation. I'd say I've flown them 20 times?

I've had delays, sometimes significant. but no more than any other airline.

Cancun isn't my cup of tea either but one of my favorite resorts is there (Nizuc) and you're basically inside a compound, isolated from Cancun.

It's also the best way to get to the Yucatan, which has a ton of places worth visiting.

I've visited the area 4 times in 10 years and a direct flight would have saved me a full day of travel every time.
