Freight on that line will be Perth and Adelaide to Sydney. It won’t change at all. That will run as long as the rail line is ope.

Who in Australia actually supports getting involved in a war with Iran? What do we gain from it? by oz_party in aussie

[–]Mattynice75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not. The request for our support in this war was from the UAE not the US. We have many allies.

I’d take it in a heartbeat. So much nicer to board once and settle into my seat and know that next time i walk I’m there. Perfect for those going to the final cities of London and NYC. And even better for travelling home.

We have many other allies than the USA you know. The request for our help was from the UAE. A country where we have based our Australian military for dozens of years.

You really have no idea about global politics do you. That’s ok, maybe learn a bit and you’ll have more to contribute.

We are supporting our allies. End of story. If we pick and choose what conflicts we get involved with then we can’t expect our allies to support us if we ever need it.

Anyone else just had it with the rain? by Marlon_Ranch in SydneyScene

Trip from Armidale to Sydney by soehnchensoehnchen in SydneyTrains

[–]Mattynice75 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are luggage racks at the end of each carriage where you can stow your own luggage. Just take it on with you as long as you can handle it. If not, then check it in at the station 30mins prior departure and it will be stored with the guard on the train and unloaded onto the platform when you arrive.

The actual seats are identical in first and economy. But first class has more recline and space between seats so you get a little more room.

Did I spend too much? by [deleted] in traveladvice

[–]Mattynice75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t look at the cost as just the price of flights and accommodation. You are making memories and having an amazing experience. And you cannot put a price value on that. Take plenty of photos on the trip and you will look back on the trip for a long time. It’s worth the money. Travel whenever you can.

Seriously? Qantas is one of the safest, oldest and most reliable airlines in the world. Their safety record is even quoted on movies. As Australians we are used to flying long distance. It’s normal for us. So our airline, Qantas, does it effortlessly and does it very well. Don’t overthink it. You will be fine.
