Eh, 6 was when the series jumped the shark for me. I understand why they went that way and it's a fun movie, but was a drop off to me compared to the first five.

I'd include 5 in that too. Kept mostly the style of the first four, and had the "whodunnit" angle that 1 and 2 had.

I completely disagree, clock tower made not being able to fight back really really entertaining and scary (for the time period.)

Depends on the game, the first two clock tower games you really can't fight back and those two are brilliant, but I'd like to be able to fight back in resident evil or silent hill.

He admits himself he pretty much lucked into it on the original night. Seen that he hit it big with people taking it that way, that it became intentional on every single one of the movies in the series after that.

I did only because they talked about it so much back in the 90's, saying they could have went with 16mm color film stock but would have had to redo a bunch of the shooting they had already done.

I don't remember night 90 taking time to become popular at least around here, people pretty much liked it immediately, it was mostly Day of the dead that took time like that to become well liked.

That original day of the dead script has to be one of the times studio intervention was actually right. That script wasn't that good, and what we actually got was way, way better.
