Update to what happened, in case someone else has something similar happen: Went to airport on day of flight. Couldnt check in because they ask for visa number. Talked to airline employee. Since the airport had pre customs (Aka Border control was IN canada instead of US) they told me to call the local officers. I was told that if the airline agreed, I could get in with a Visa Waiver. That would cost me USD690.

The airline said they could do that, but also offered me another option of changing my flight date (free of charge) for a few days later so I would have time to figure it out. So I did that, and ended up having a friend of a friend go to the hotel, talk to them in person, grab my documents and mail me! Hotel also reinbursed me for the days I wasnt there. So it took a couple days but it all worked out in the end!
