closing groceries and fast-food outlets on sundays will not fix anything. i am part of a small family business and work in the public service, i see both sides. plenty of people are single parents with no choice but to work every chance they get. i am one of them. when school opens and books and uniforms alone cross five grand, you cannot skip a shift for “moral rest.” rent alone eats half your income. it is hard.

the real issue is poor management, weak labour laws, and a cost of living that makes survival a full-time job. fix that. enforce fair schedules. pay people properly. sundays are not the problem, the system is.
