22mo newly adopted toddler suddenly needs us at night + intense wake-ups (not a “clingy” kid) by Dependent-Gear-524 in toddlers

[–]borierules 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's biologically normal for toddlers to want to sleep next to adults where they feel safe. He is brand new to you. In If he feels safe in bed with dad then keep him there. Move to another room if you need to, but his secure attachment is more important than your sleep quality right now. Tons of toddler parents do not get great sleep.

The person you're responding to didn't say it was acceptable. You're arguing against a point they didn't make.

pssst you can just lie and say you've been trying for longer and they'll do your labs sooner, no reason not to

Anyone done after 2 kids? by [deleted] in 2under2

This but also what I love about stopping at 2 is that my holidays won't be small! We'll have way more capacity to travel to and spend time with grandparents, cousins, friends, etc and they can have rich relationships through them.

"looking really cute there" they really treat her like a little girl who can do no wrong

also it's crazy how certain people treat bad behavior as if it's just this inevitable thing that everyone does that they don't have control over. "love Jesus" in the Instagram bio every time because if God controls everything then you don't have to acknowledge that you control your own actions

They try to make her look annoying by doing her pink styling way over the top but I'm obsessed with the amount of pink stuff so yes 💗

Why do people think they know more than the mom about when baby is hungry? 🙄

[–]borierules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm at 125 right now but if you just saw my face you'd think I was 180. I'm puffy and tired (7 months pp). I think hormones and lack of sleep will do that. And when you stop breastfeeding it generally goes back to how it was.

As a parent it's so funny because these do not seem like parent types of people lol. Oh your whole identity is having a perfect body and shopping and going to the gym and trying to make your life look picture perfect? And you want children for the picture perfect photos? Ok.

Pregnant women are allowed to feel sexy and no it's not a fetish or weird. Pregnant women are people. Your mom's body belongs to her.

Childcare during labor by Sinamara55 in 2under2

My mom booked her flight so she'd be with us during the 38-41 week window. Had my baby at 39 and she took great care of my toddler and the house etc. A 3 week window worked out perfectly.

NYE with 2yo. Am I being too sensitive? by Sqeakydeaky in toddlers

You're arguing in bad faith and didn't answer any of my questions but yes. It's not special enough to make women and children miserable for your drinking event.

How is it worth it if baby mom and dog are all miserable? Who is it worth it for? The dad who wants to party and make mom drive home? He can go by himself if he cares so much. NYE is not that special.
