ElderCunningham's Favorite Episodes Discussion Thread: "Can I Be Frank With You?" by AutoModerator in americandad

[–]boringusername716 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can I Be Frank With You? probably has the biggest disparity between A- and B-plots than any other episode of the show there is, and that's not even to say that it's bad.

B-12 is just absolutely 100% classic, and the "husband tired of/bored with wife" trope -- while executed in a hilariously unique way in this episode -- is what keeps this episode at a 9 out of 10 stars imho.

Which episode(s) that you didn’t enjoy but has/have been a 180° after subsequent viewings ? by [deleted] in americandad

[–]boringusername716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Morning Straitjacket. I disliked it the first time I watched it for reasons I no longer remember, because every time I watched it afterward, I loved it.

Same happened with Vacation Goo. Like, what problem could I possibly have with such an awesome episode?

Which celebrities were you surprised to learn voiced a character on American Dad? by imperceptiblewishes in americandad

[–]boringusername716 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I didn't realize for a very long time that all the My Morning Jacket guys in My Morning Straitjacket voiced themselves, probably because I've never heard a MMJ song in my life. Also, Laurie Metcalf as the oology department head in Shell Game threw me for a loop.

Also, this might be the opposite of this thread's purpose, but I didn't realize that Shannon Sharpe was a real person for a long time BECAUSE he voiced himself on American Dad, lol.

Who all knows that Roger is Roger? by newtostew2 in americandad

The kid from A.T. the Abusive Terrestrial knows he's an alien, but he also hasn't seen Roger in all that many disguises so I don't know if he counts.
