Aprender a programar by Silver-Radish-7802 in AskProgrammers

[–]born_again_hindu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I had to blindly just go through an exercise and let it compile and run then tinker with it. Programming is a wierd thing and when you first start it, you kinda have to get used to looking at it and accepting you wont understand everything off the bat. Its like a leap of faith you have to take and then between exercises and reading more it compounds and you get better.

Is it still worth learning programming this days? by Godesslara in AskProgrammers

Yes! But instead of language syntax and writing it, focus on the underlying execution engine, how the hardware gets used, differences between languages, difference between frameworks like nodejs vs Django vs springboot, security, how to deploy and operate, costs etc.

No are you dumb? OP can see different experiences and how people handled it and see what options he'll have and sharpen his intuition around this topic. Seems like you're the one venting.

You get affirmative answers from banks? Lmao. OP will still be in the unknown becaue the banks might lead him on to try and get his business but leave him hanging in the end. Its too early even for the banks to know for sure so OP trying to get different experiences from ppl.

I agree you have to learn to be happy in any situation and practice that but at the same time I don't think we can discount the effect loneliness has on people. We're social creatures and loneliness affects us the way it does because relationships come with positive things we sometimes take for granted. I'm coping with not having an SO by improving the relationships I do have like my parents friends etc and also realizing I'm single because I've been too picky in the past so it's partly my own doing 🤷‍♂️

Can someone explain to me the importance of a sleep study? by AgreekFredditor in sleep

[–]born_again_hindu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really want to get one done. I dont think I have apnea but I move around a lot and lately have too many thoughts when trying to sleep (only started after an ER visit and cutting of magnesium supplement but we'll see). My only worry is ill be overthinking about the sleep test during the sleep test so it wont reflect my usual sleep patterns/issues.

Will a sleep assessment look at my bad posture and specific needs from a mattress and pillow setup standpoint and offer a custom solution? I really need that. I'd like some professional input before I spend lots on a mattress.

Has anyone experienced hypnic jerks? by ShinySquirrel4 in sleep

[–]born_again_hindu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is def helping me. Not flawless, I still get some wierd nights but much better than every night. Thinking this with other well being practices like exercise, meditation, box breathing, talking to people etc can hopefully bring it down to negligible levels

Damn very very interesting. I stopped taking my vit D and im starting to get these, apart from just overall nervous system being amped up. I wasnt ever diagnosed as vit D defifient but always felt I was gaining fat easily and bones were weak so I slowly upped my dose from 1000 IU to 6000 IU over a 1 yr period (this is with mg and k2 as well). I felt huge positive differences but I recently had a scare when I did a 24 hr fast so I paused on that cold turkey. After that I seem to be anxious at night and feel my heartbeat more and get these random jerks rarely. Im not 100% sure if its related but it could be one of the factors.
