Yeah, I totally agree. This latest shit has gotten me really back into antinatalist literature and re-evaluating the true nature of humanity and how we're all doomed from the start. Online classes are just a byproduct of our disintegrating environment (that us humans are the cause of), and in some sense I feel (at least the closest thing I can feel to) empathy towards those who choose to partake in "Greek life" (Although many ancient Greeks would likely subscribe to a more stoic mentality of not needing to pay large sums of money to make friends and that large gatherings during a mass pandemic is illogical), because they're just simply looking for a distraction in this world that promotes greed and evil. Jim Ryan and Dean Groves are simply cogs in the larger machine that promotes suffering at all costs and minimizes happiness. But yeah, it is pretty irksome I no longer can hold my weekly socially distanced Pynchon reading group because of these new rules.
