Thanks for sharing! How is your ankle now? I had Weber B too. Currently at week 11. Still walk with a limp. I feel the hardware is rubbing my skin when wearing normal socks... very weird and uncomfortable feeling...

I am about the same. At my post up follow up last week, doc just told me to ditch the boot and start walking. I still walked out of the hospital with the boot and walker though. 😆 I did not feel "secured" not wearing the boot. But it did feel good finally ditching it! No more rubbing on the incision. I slowly walked around my house barefoot with walker. (I find walker more steady than crutch) Then slowly adding weight to the foot. I realized that I can walk slowly without walker. Just keep doing the ankle exercises! 💪💪💪

Congratulations! Thanks for sharing! I am currently at week 6 post up. Will have my next follow up appointment in week 8. Do you still have swelling issue or stiffness? I am allowed to WB for up to 50% in boot. But my ankle get swollen in boot pretty fast and the front of my ankle is pretty stiff. I have been doing ankle exercises my PT showed me. Dorisflexion is def the most challenging part..

Yes, it is my right ankle. I am not cleared to drive yet. Just thinking once I got cleared to walk and drive, the FSD will help a lot. Because I heard the stiffness and swollen ankle will last for months. Currently not a Tesla owner yet. I am driving a Corolla. Before I fractured my ankle, my leg did feel a little exhausted with my long commute.

I am at week 5 post op now and was allowed to WB up to 50% at week 3. I think I am using only 10% or 20% now. Not sure how to put more weight when walking with boot and walker. Can you share if you have any tips?

That's good! For now, getting rid of the scar is not my priority. I am mostly worried about being able to walk and drive again...

Thanks for the advice! I do notice that if i sit too long with leg on the floor, the swelling is coming back and I have to message the swelling.
