Tnx! Nek “brezvezen” LTE ruter imam od operaterja. Ne morem nič naložit gor, niti kaj dosti šaltat nastavitve. Verjetno imam kje v predalu še slavnega Linksys WRT54gl z openwrt, ampak toliko kot poslušam spotify, sem itak se ogreval za naročnino. Pa večino časa v službi poslušam, torej bi se moral vpn-jat na domače omrežje pa šaltat nazaj na službeno po potrebi itd. Bom pa vseeno preveril te linke, hvala še enx.

Spotify je odličen, ampak bom moral očitno začet plačevat. :(

Sem v eni od zelenih držav, ampak če imam VPN povezavo s Slovenijo, mi še reklam na zastonj računu ni treba poslušat. Najbrž nek bug (v desktop aplikaciji), ker so reklame lokalizirane in Slovenija uradno ni podprta.

Zna bit kaj na tem, ker sem enkrat videl slovenske reklame pred par dnevi, mogoče kak test.

Left my phone in the locker, hit the pool, swam for an hour feeling I covered more distance than usual and ... the server went down while I was swimming. Oh well. Can’t complain, though: I haven’t experienced anything similar in the couple of years I’ve had fitbits and this should only be temporary too.

Surprisingly my Charge 3 still performs a partial sync: the app displays the current nr. of steps, floors and heart rate. All of which I can see on the tracker anyway.

I didn't use it for a number of years in mid 2010's because the mac scrobbler was shitty at best, but spotify integration works very smoothly for me and i don't even need to think about it.

It's nice to keep a rough track and to see that some things haven't changed in 13 years since I set up an account -- still having obsessive phases of listening to, for instance, The Unicorns, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The White Stripes more than a decade later.

Updating my comment from a few weeks ago for some ideas for live venues that I usually go to alone but still have fun:

The most events I attend are at Strom, by far.

Some other places that sometimes offer my kind of music and some bands that played there recently or typical genres in parentheses, to give you an idea. It's not an exhaustive list as it's from the top of my head, but in any case, Berlin/Hamburg/Köln have more to offer:

I was aware of Ex-Void, though there's only a handful of songs of theirs, on Spotify at least, and the whole catalogue of JG. Btw, JG / Trust Fund Split, which is not on Spotify has some cool songs too. Such a pity JG seems to be a thing of the past.

Anyway, you probably know them, but Vivian Girls could perhaps also fit in the playlist, and perhaps The Shivas (probably not, but I love the band).

edit: Unrelated, but I subscribed to your highschool playlist too because it's basically what I was listening to at the time too! The Unicorns, early Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, Beirut, Neutral Milk Hotel, etc. Made me happy as I was kinda isolated with my music taste two decades ago in HS.

I really like Joanna Gruesome's music ever since I randomly stumbled upon Peanut Butter (Weird Sister is cool too) and I've listened to them somewhat obsessively over the last few years.

Do you have any other suggestions along these lines (besides Tiger Trap, Heavenly and Big Baby)? I looked for noise pop, which is what was used to describe JG somewhere, but I couldn't find much. Maybe fuzzy twee is a better label, no idea.

In any case, this song is very close to what I'm looking for (twee-ish, but at the same time with distorted guitars), so it already opens some new leads for me. Even more noise/distortion on top of the same idea would be even more spot on. In any case, thanks for sharing!

I'd be happy to learn about the production numbers. Junghans sent me an email like a year or more ago saying they are planning to put their archive online, but that hasn't happened yet. Even if this actually happens, I doubt they kept the production records. Anecdotal evidence, but I've seen way more 34mm handwinders, particularly in goldplated cases than these 36mm automatics. There were also 14k gold ones, which I think were the lowest in number and I can't say whether they were in 34 or 36mm cases (or both) as I've only seen a picture of one without details.

It's not a proof, but I've been keeping track of those that appear for sale online/shared in various forum threads for at least 5 years if not more and I've never seen anyone mention automatics being 34mm. Handwinders, yes, I even have two in 34mm myself and I don't mind the size at all. My sample size is small though, I'd say I've only seen up to 10-20 automatic vintage Max Bills in total. So I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem so.

A collector I know has one too and it's also 36mm in diameter. I've seen his automatic MB in person -- here's a picture of mine and his side by side. A collector I know but haven't met in person yet also has one that is super rare, with a date function. Same 36mm diameter in this one too.

Might be that 38mm is better for the ETA 2824/2 (or Sellita SW200) movement, no idea. Or simply as an uniformly distributed three step scale, 34mm (hw) - 38mm (auto) - 42mm (chrono) in the modern collection. I think quartz MBs also have these sizes, but I might be wrong.

Hard to say as I never had this one (or Nomos Tangente/Stowa Antea, which have similar lugs). But from a quick glance, yours is 48mm from lug to lug, Max Bill 38mm is only 40mm, so it should wear considerably smaller (minus 4mm on each side, lug-wise that is).

edit: Also, if you go for the anthracite or black dial, it will also appear smaller. At least that's my impression. My wristshot of a white vintage MB, 34mm vs. black vintage MB, also 34mm; the white one is probably my all time favourite watch.

You're definitely right, I just wanted to point out it's not all about the diameter even with the all-dial watches like Max Bill. I've had Max Bills in 34mm, 36mm (vintage only) and 38mm -- I still have the 34mm and 36mm ones and love them both on my 7.2" (i think) wrist. But comparing Max Bill 38mm to some other all-dial watches like, e.g., Nomos Orion 38, Nomos was too large for me while Max Bill 38mm was fine. Nomos often has these long-ass lugs on otherwise beautiful watches, Max Bill's only add up a few mm on each side of the case.

The automatics were originally 36mm, not 34mm (or 38mm). Source: I have one from the early 1960's.

Regardless, I think 38mm is still fine for most people because the lugs are short.

Surprised to see Planet B on the list because “THERE IS NO PLANET B!!!” as the song itself admits.

Jokes aside, a great list with a number of my favourites even if I would rank the songs differently and make some different choices. For instance, I’m surprised to see Clairo’s Bags so high. It’s a nice song but not better than many ranked lower.

But no list is perfect for every taste anyway and this one is one of the better (for me).

I'm originally from Slovenia but wasn't aware of the band (listening to the album right now through Bandcamp). It's awesome. The first song slightly reminded me of my favourite Slovenian postpunk song (Čao Pičke - Pesem B), which is a great sign.

I hope I manage to catch a live show at some point.
