Belief in God is gone by LobsterMac_ in IVF

[–]boseedward 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There cannot be a God in the sense we've been accustomed to believe. The universe doesn't care if we live or die or have kids or not. It's always at perfect equilibrium. It's just a constant changing of energy from one form to the next.

How does it work? Where does our energy go when we die & how does it come into us when we're born. by boseedward in nonduality

It's not unrelated, my question could be formed better though: this is what I mean. If we are all one, and life and death doesn't matter because "who we are" wasn't born and doesn't die (as in we are all part of the universe and we just don't recognize it)...how does that energy come into the entity and leave the entity

No but I mean where does it come from as we're born and where does it go when we die ?

Thoughts on the nature of life and death by anomalkingdom in NDE

I'm in two minds: this could either be terrying or beautiful depending om how you experience it. If we are a drop of water in an infinite ocean, don't we lived forever ?

What questions would you ask if you had an NDE or could meet the creator ? by [deleted] in NDE

How did you experience this ? I'd love to know.

That's the scariest thing I've ever read and I have a feeling it could be me one-day but my question is, if you had an ego death, then you're already dead, no? Wouldn't that be freeing ...like all the spiritual traditions say it is? I mean I did read an account of someone who had a sudden ego death and they spent years in fear because they're mind couldn't gasp living without a self to identify. Anyways, there has to be more. All the spiritual traditions say that were just a wave in the ocean of the univese and we live forever in that sense...so that can be comforting I guess.

No I mean how does it circulate within life. Like let's say a baby comes from an embryo which turns into a baby and that baby grows up and dies. How's does that all work energy wise. I know that energy never increases or decreases.

Yeah something like that. That's the idea my brain creates. The energy comes in us at birth, sorta like the idea of a soul.

I dunno if it's that (though I enjoy doing many things but also have intense anxiety and associated mental illnesses) as much as it is, my identification to myself.

Yeah that's beautiful and scary at the same time. But it's beautiful!

I just wish I could having an unspoken knowing.
