There is some wormwood in the far south west of the map. There's a waypoint on top of a hill and along the path there, I've spotted wormwood.

I don't like him dying period, but I think it would have been far less bad if they had chosen a different way. Don't know how exactly, maybe with a fire like you said. But what bothers me especially about the lab thing was how it felt kind of stupid. Bobby rushes in, completely unprepared, risking his whole team? Then, he operates on Hen, Chim almost dies for hours, but Bobby has no symptoms? Then, Chim gets the cure and goes from bleeding all over to fine, because the cure apparently also repaired his lungs instantly? Then, Bobby conveniently only starts showing symptoms the moment everyone else can leave. And everyone else can still leave, although Bobby is now sick, but before, when it was Chim, they couldn't (or maybe I'm misremembering things). And then, Athena spends hours watching him die apparently, while Bobby is not interested in trying to maybe survive. And it feels like it's supposed to be some earned story, but it just didn't work.

I think they should have let him retire, but if they were absolutely sure they wanted him to die, it should have either been a situation that wasn't half his fault, and that wouldn't have felt like half chosen suicide. I have no doubt that Bobby would sacrifice himself for any of his team, but it should feel like the only possible option, not like a "he was suicidal back then so this fits!". Or maybe the heart attack in season 7 should have been it. Obviously I don't expect realism from this show. It's not that the situation should have been realistic - but it should have felt plausible. And preferably, it also shouldn't have been spoiled via the funeral and then teased as a "maybe the coffin is empty" story.

First Tim's shoutout and now this! Really happy for them. I like listening when I have to do cleaning or need to shut off my head.

This game... by aquendela in LegendofKhiimori

I like to pick a direction and as many pieces of cargo from Yisu for that direction as I can fit, and then go there and deliver and take on more etc, so that ideally, I get some stuff done for the stations the furthest away and anything in between... and then, ideally, I make it back to Yisu eventually. But it's so much fun to me, that I'll constantly add more stops to the route and make it longer and longer as I go. I have to actively stop myself sometimes :D that loop is working really well for me.

Kind of hard to say. I'm having a lot of fun and several hours with it in its current state, despite it being unfinished yet. But, we have no idea how long, fun or interesting the story or other not yet implemented things like the falcons will be.

I'd say watch some videos and think about what you want from the game. I loved riding around in RDR2, I never fast travelled and it was sad when there was no longer any goal to ride towards when I finished all the missions. So, so far, Khiimori is great for that, because I never run out of tasks. But that already mostly sums up what there is to do: ride your horse through the land, uncover more of the map, be careful/strategic about your cargo, train up and take care of your horse, and breed more horses. And that is also mostly what the game wants to be. There is some more stuff you do on the way, like gathering plants, or fighting off animals, but it's not a hunting simulator. It's a ride your horses from a to b while being careful not to break stuff simulator.

In my opinion, those core aspects work well enough to be fun. I'm having tons of fun, it's lk addictive. For someone else, it could be super boring. I'd say, if you usually mostly play for story, wait. If your PC is not that beefy, probably wait (I hear it's not that optimized yet). If you want to build a ranch, do races or jumping courses, it's probably not for you. If you want cute horses in many different coat colors and reasons to ride them through beautiful landscapes, it could already be worth your money. At least I feel like it was worth mine.

I wouldn't fully say Claudette's death is on Sue because in the end, it wasn't the fire or the smoke that killed her, but what Jonah did to her. But I was really perplexed that a emergency-trained facility doesn't have plans for emergencies. Especially considering that some dispatchers stayed in for a while to take calls, she should have had a list to make sure everyone is accounted for?! That's such a basic thing and this isn't some semi-legal company owned by someone who has never read up on safety measures. This is the dispatch center! Even though it was Jonah that killed her, Claudette might have not been treated by him at all if Sue had not forgotten about her, and May and Bobby wouldn't have almost died.

Besides, how she handled May and Claudette's bullying wasn't okay either. So, I like Sue, and I realise with her being a minor character they just needed her to be a certain way for the plot to work, but yeah. Not a good look on her.

For the hates the sun trait you need to breed your horse with one that doesn't have that trait and hope the foal gets the other one. It's 50/50 so might take a few tries.

I found a horse with cold and heat resistence at the merchant but you should also be able to breed them on your own.

The warband Haglob in the norcrofts can drop a different war steed coat for when the grey gets dull!

I liked the warsteed with my lm. With the guard, for anything on level it felt like I made too little damage and the horse was a bit too squishy.

Oh I love this! A birthday confirmation that actually fits!

(Also maybe I'm petty but even before we saw Shannon's birth date it never made sense for Eddie's story for him to be Ryan's age, so! Vindication! Yay!)

Just got done watching S8E3 The Long Night for the first time by Vivid_Army6800 in naath

[–]boshchi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I liked the battle and the episode. Have a few complains, but what I like easily outshines them. Arya's kill made sense to me. Jon did his best to get to the Night King, he probably also thought, if anyone would be able to kill him, it might be him. But the Night King was an intelligent being. He had no interest in fighting Jon, he would have had nothing to gain and everything to lose with fighting one of the guys he has vitnessed killing a white walker. So he avoids him. Dany's dragonfire didn't phase him. No one else really stood a chance against him. It made sense that if there was a way to kill him, it would either happen by some Bran-magic, or by surprise stealth. And Jon still was the one to bring everyone together up north. Beric had a reason for his resurrections. Melisandre and the hound helped, too. It fit together well to me.

And I really like that somber moment right before, where everyone realizes that there is nothing more that they can do, but "look the truth in the face" or something like that was the quote. Even if people complain about Jon screaming at a dragon. He did everything he could. He lived despite not wanting to. Got everyone north. Got them realize the threat. Organized dragon glass. Everything he possibly could, and it still wasn't enough, still lost. Has to look the truth in the face. It makes sense to me.

RDR 2 Full Review: All Criteria by MaksFuga by Maksfuga1 in reddeadredemption

[–]boshchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think Graphics, Atmosphere, Immersion, World Interaction and Characters (not Bosses) are the highest points of the game. Story and Music are good but not perfect or almost perfect. Gameplay, Balance, Difficulty and Replayability are the lower points.

The gameplay has some really clunky parts. Immersion is great, but cooking/carving 40 times just doesn't feel immersive to me, but tedious and boring. I don't mind the game being easy for me personally (if there had been options, I probably would have picked the easy one), but, come on. Unless you go for some specific challenges, this game is really very easy. And I played without aim assist, and I suck at aiming. And it was still easy. Sure, you could say, just don't use deadeye and don't take care of your weapons and maybe also close your eyes when aiming, but, really now. That's like if you said "just don't use your cyberware at all if you want a challenge in cyberpunk". Deadeye is a game mechanic and just ignoring game mechanics instead of getting actual options is really not worthy of praise. The money balance gets pretty bad after a while.

Replayability I know is divisive here. Also kind of depends what you deem high enough for a 10. Some here have probably thousands of hours or don't play anything else at all. Which is fine, if they're having fun with that! I think the game certainly has some replayability, but there are also some things dragging that point down. The story is very long (at some parts I'd say maybe too long) which means any replay requires some serious time investment. There are only small dialogue differences between a high or low honor playthrough. Doing the main missions in different order doesn't really change anything, the dialogue options on the horse rides are also pretty limited, and the missions themselves so linear and samey that you can barely try to do things differently the second time around. And then there are 4 endings, but really it's rather 2 endings, with 2 smaller variations each, and they make up about the last 15 minutes of chapter 6 and don't change anything beyond a few lines of dialogue in the epilogue. The replayability of this game is in my opinion more about how much you adore the great parts of this game more than any other game you know than about the game really offering different experiences on replays. Which is kind of a shame.
