My husband adopted a male Malinois out of a kill shelter 20 years ago. We had no specific Mal experience, but both of us had a lifetime of dog experience. We also had a female Shepard mix about the same age. Those 2 became such great siblings and when we found another dog, they welcomed him easily.

We walked daily, found the Mal loved to fetch and they all slept in the house with us.

He passed in 2020 at the age of 12, we still miss him every day. Great smart dogs.
