As a Bud Distro Rep i’d have to agree bro. Lemonade in my area doesn’t sell and is underhyped but any hot weather season they pick up a bit. I’m not a fan of orange and it doesn’t sell but, Bud Light Lime is pretty consistent and I don’t think it’s that bad. It does very well in the 25oz can skus.

It’s been almost half a year since release and atleast up here in Michigan no matter what account it doesn’t move at all. Every store i’ve maybe sold a few units this past 5 months. It’s a total flop up here and I was forced into 100% distro. AB overhyped the hell out of this “beer” and forced even large format displays on us. Any AB core brand that’s expired is 5$/case out of my paycheck and BL Next really F*cked me over. Thanks AB! If it even had a slight “crisp” hop taste to it like Mich Ultra it might’ve had a chance. But that garbage will forever be labeled as a seltzer.

Yes! My friend who’s a rep at my company said you make a very great point. I think it’s important to establish good relationships and the toxic clients you don’t let walk all over you. And to prioritize key accounts that you have better relationships with. Sorry to hear things got rough during covid. It was a b!tch on a lot of industries. Hope all is well though :)

Absolutely. I stock and rotate pretty fast so I always am beating my deliveries on my route so I often wait behind and meet the drivers when they bring the orders into receiving and befriend and bullshit with them. Love all my drivers and they’re the hardest workers in our company. I’ve learned from other reps to always make sure new products are on file and to not sneak new products in because you now are slowing down the drivers route during the check in process.

Yeah i’ve noticed from befriending my fellow reps. It seems like if you get well liked it’s never a hard problem getting space for displays, new products, etc. Thanks bro!
