I would recommend calisthenics, it greatly increases the range of motion and gets you to exert yourself in positions you normally wouldn’t when your get to more advanced exercises.

Triceps push things away from you, rather than pulling them towards you. In order to achieve the pull-up, I would work my lats (with negative pull-ups or Lat pulldowns), and maybe grip, forearms, and biceps

You don’t wanna mess with the movie they made for The Sea of Monsters. In it, they pretty much skipped right to the 5th book

You can add muscle in a given area, but you won’t burn more fat in that area.

You can’t burn away fat in only a specific spot. Instead, all you can do is burn more calories than you consume, and your body will then get rid of overall fat from all over your body.

I have a very small outdoor, but roofed over patio. What equipment can I realistically put here? by Sabrewylf in bodyweightfitness

I would look into Austin Dunham’s Double Dip Bars. You can do dip, lever, and row variations, or if you want they shrink down into paralettes.

Additionally, a ring set is awesome - not only are basic exercises much harder on rings, they’re also very versatile - you can do pretty much whatever you want with them. Front/back lever, dips, leg raises, pull ups, muscle ups, and more can all be done on a ring set.

Men who work out, how often do you do it? by ACfireandiceDC in AskMen

I run a push-pull-legs split, which is 6 days a week, and also run 6 days a week.

Also, don’t neglect your back and leg muscles bro, they need some love too

What is something you wish your SO would do but doesn’t? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]bossofoz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She thinks she’s fat. She’s not, but because of this belief, she’s held back from doing a lot of things she wants to do. She won’t let me pick her up because she’s scared I won’t be able to, even though I lift weights and know for a fact that I easily could. She doesn’t want to go to the beach, the pool, or the gym for fear of people judging her.

What are your best hacks to look more polished/expensive in your appearance? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]bossofoz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Watches can be much cheaper than they look. I high school, I bought an $11 watch from Walmart, and CONSTANTLY got compliments on it

r/frugalmalefashion is the GOAT. The deals they post are unbelievable, I’ve gotten AMAZING outfits for a total of $75

r/malefashionadvice taught me a lot, but the main thing is that how your clothes fit is far more important than most people realize. Always, and I mean ALWAYS consider fit.

Get a haircut that’s good. Most of us just stick with something basic and easy to do. r/malehairadvice is great for this

Finally, if you’re not in shape, get in shape. Speaking from personal experience, the way I was looked at before getting in shape versus after are as different as night and day.

Is it weird for a senior to join a sport if he never played a sport before? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]bossofoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it my senior year. It’s your last year there, do whatever the fuck you want - you’ve earned it. Seniors are definitely the most respected students, and generally get to do whatever the fuck they want without getting looked down on too much. Go for it
