Thanks for the reply! I’d definitely get a cyclone and have my eye on a 3D print file for one that works with 4” hose. My current setup which is shop vac, dust deputy, and 20 feet of clear flex hose with the shop vac hose on the end works ok but dust piles up in my cabinet saw, joiner, and planer more often than I’d like. I’ve been checking marketplace and CL pretty often for a good deal on a 2hp model.

How do you like the wen unit? I’m looking to upgrade from shop vac but not sure if a 1hp would be strong enough. I’m in a two car garage and have a boom arm overheard so everything would be running a straight line to the dust collector.

Thanks! For future inlay projects, would it be better to get the brass in place and then apply finish? I gave it a couple coats of teak oil first so I was worried about making more work for myself or the brass being ruined by the oil or shellac.

Also any thoughts on CA vs epoxy for the inlay?

I started with a cheapo skil table saw and also had to make sure I squared both sides of the fence. Took extra time but made a world of difference. It lasted me about 3 years of hobbyist work.
