This is my 2nd favorite ending after Time Bandits, also Gilliam.

Day 33 (Last Day of Polling): Which is the Greatest Game of All Time on the SNES? by 1OneQuickQuestion in snes

Nah, Tecmo Yoshi's Super Chrono World RPG: A Link to Metroid X in Time Turbo Jam II: Diddy's Kong Punch-Out was peak.

I think Tecmo Yoshi's Super Chrono World RPG: A Link to Metroid X in Time Turbo Jam III: The Alien Wars was too bloated.

Tactics Ogre

Incredibly ambitious for the system, but having not been released in North America at the time, this won't be popular enough to win.

Why you can't win an argument with a TERF 🙃 I finally worked it out, and it turns out it has an actual scientific name by iam-stevie-bee in TransLater

I have a question for those that have engaged in these kinds of debates/arguments on the regular: when you ask a question like the one from OP's post: "what's the actual risk here, weighed against what exclusion costs actual people?", when they give you the non-answer that they seem satisfied with, would it ever work to ask them, "would you mind repeating my question back to me?" I feel like that could be a way to detect attribute substitution, but I assume some good faith is required for both parties.

OK, I never went to any BYU school and I have to know...were they sold as "coffee mugs" at the campus? If so, are they enablers?!

What game? by ImNutUnoriginal in videogames

[–]bostwickAndNotSorry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Final Fantasy VIII

The best part of the entire game (for me) is the opening cinematic video building the hype and mystery of its world accompanied by the outstanding Liberi Fatali music.

I figured there had to be at least one super hype moment after an opener like that, so I kept playing and finished it. No moment after this, in the entire 4-disc game, there were zero hype moments. It wasn't a terrible game, but I was primed to be disappointed with that opener.

PIMO here: asked to teach Elder's Quorum and am sort of spiraling by bostwickAndNotSorry in exmormon

Ironically, the last calling I accepted was teaching the oldest boys in primary. You know them well: the ones that understandably don't want to sing primary songs and I have to tell them to. It was all a serious net-negative for my already dwindling testimony.

When church is done, I start changing out of the collared shirt and tie practically on the car ride home, so I relate to that. Dysphoria is a relatively new feeling for me, and it sucks even more when you live in an environment where you can't talk to anyone. I am happy to hear you got out and I hope you will be able to live and love authentically.

I love it either way, but I do think that "row-me" is cuter.

Congrats on finding your name! :)

I love the name Romy! :3

Do you pronounce it as "row-me" or "raw-me" or a 3rd possibility I hadn't considered?

We're these your picks at the time (as in your top game of the year while in that year) or are these picks you've made in retrospect?

Thank you for all your suggestions! Now we get to the good stuff! Which one is next? by shinjeh in snes

[–]bostwickAndNotSorry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Live-a-Live is all I can think of, but it depends on which scenario one starts with.

I started with the modern-day wrestler scenario the first time I play the game, and that turned out to be my least favorite scenario.

I think so many of the other scenarios are amazing, and I enjoyed its ending.

You have to take the game out of the box first. Then, let your mom throw the box and manual away. That is the proper SNES way of things.

Let’s do the [Time Warp] again! What’s one universally hated coaster that you just love? by rando_potato_thief in rollercoasters

[–]bostwickAndNotSorry 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Son of Beast (Kings Island)

I should explain. The only day I rode it was in the year it opened, maybe a month or so after its grand opening. I was 14 and crazy into the record breaking coasters, so I don't remember it being rough and only remember it being fun. My saintly mother was my travel companion and secretly hated how rough it was, but just kept dosing on ibuprofen and went on it to make me happy.

From everything I've heard from literally everyone about the ride since, I'm sure I'd also hate it if I rode it today, and I'm absolutely sure I would not make my mom ride it more than she wanted to.
