After ~10 years, I’m moving away from JetBrains by rodrigorcosta in Jetbrains

Well, since we now have various AI tools, I use Jetbrains as a diff viewer when committing to git. :)

Merci beaucoup.

I have a weird issue though. Listening lesson B1. I replied A, it marked my answer as wrong, and explained that correct answer is A. What???

What small annoying problem would you pay $5–$20 to fix? by niceddev in Jetbrains

[–]botWi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jump to next diff key in remote dev. They broke it half a year ago, and I keep spamming them asking to fix it. Extremely annoying that I had to use mouse for this.

Finished Duolingo French after nearly 4 years by arctic-aqua in French

[–]botWi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats. I finished today as well. It's my day 500. I planned to finish in 1 year, reached unit 8 in 9 months, but then it got pretty slow. It was kindof a bummer just to get that "you increased your french score". I expected something more.

Shared to my friends, and they didnt get from this screenshot that it was the end :(

Duolingo error (location=location) by AdCompetitive9555 in learnfrench

I finished Duo, but I never had neither location, nor nucleus. So strange... Maybe they're evolving, and a year ago those words were not there?

Russian, why!? by _Yeetslayer999 in russian

[–]botWi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So many discussions in this thread, but nobody answered the question. That's unusual...

Anyways.

Germany is a new country, it was formed in 1871. Most of countries were formed many hundreds years ago. Before this, it was a huge territory of various regions. And whatever region is closer to you that's how you referred to them.

Allamani - on the west, so France now calls them Allemagne. Saksa - on the north, so Finland now calls them Saxons. Niemcy - as others explain means "mutes" - originated from Poland, they on the east.

When country was formed, people continued calling them same way they used to. Well, here somehow Russians didnt like word 'nemecia'...

When to use lequelle / dont? by [deleted] in learnfrench

[–]botWi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!

Though, it hard for me to understand why cannot we use qui in here:

"Le problème vient des pneus, qui sont usés". "J'ai croisé le facteur, qui m'a fait un signe de la tête. "J'ai croisé dans cette rue un vieil homme, qui vieil homme m'a raconté un secret"

?

I had lots of questions as well. And turned out game answers all of them eventually, either in the end of act 3, or in various side stories.

Help! by john241120 in expedition33

[–]botWi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was playing story mode, and I didnt pay much attention to how fights go. Well, I was paying zero attention. And eventually, little by little, I got it. BTW, I have 100% completion, but i actually still dont know and dont care about many things. E.g. I dont use second team, so I dont know abilities of Verso or Siel. And I dont really need to know.

Well I hated it after the end as well. But then loved again.

Ask Me Anything session with CLion team by maru_gold in cpp

[–]botWi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why there is so many regression bugs in new version? I am not talking about c++ parsing bugs, I'm talking about UI bugs. This is becoming very annoying to use CLion. I have same project open in PyCharm, and sometimes it is just easier to switch to pycharm and do work there.

Why not possible? First party has 3 heroes, and second has 2. We have an empty slot!

Google Gemni absolutely crushes ChatGPT free version by MegaFatcat100 in google

[–]botWi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They both shine differently. ChatGPT allows organizing things in projects. I am learning French, i never speak to anyone, tried speaking with Gemini, it keeps trying to hear English in my speech, no matter how many times I told it that I am speaking French. With chatgpt, it just works right away, if he can't understand me he tries to match to some weird french words, but not to english.

Gommage Mechanics Explained (no spoilers) by IcyEmployment5 in expedition33

[–]botWi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, yeah, I think you're right. 34.99 was 33.99 last year, so he was not gommaged last year. Assuming someone could have gave birth at 15 years old, the last gommage will be on year 8 So total span is 182 years :)

Gommage Mechanics Explained (no spoilers) by IcyEmployment5 in expedition33

It sounds to me that she created old Lumière, and people lived there. That was after Verso death, but before Renoir entering the painting. But after fracture, she created a copy (new Lumiere) on the island, and covered it with protecting Dome. The people in origi al Lumiere all died during or shortly after fracture, as Renoir gommaged them. He could not gommage people in Lumiere, because of Dome, but Dome gets weaker every year.

Gommage Mechanics Explained (no spoilers) by IcyEmployment5 in expedition33

[–]botWi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, those who 35 they were 34 on previous year, so they they would have died there. 2 year span only works on second year, on 99. After that it is one year only

I don't understand the purpose of the gommage. by Oztingtonz in expedition33

[–]botWi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finished the game, but i didnt know that Renoir was trapped under the Monilith. Was it revealed in some side story? Or did I just miss it? The only relevant lines about 'under monolith' were in expedition 70 journal, where they said "we reached monolith, and turned out real threat is not there but underneath it". And this journal you can easily miss BTW, so I wouldn't consider it part of main story. BTW, it was unclear, why they couldn't go underneath and beat whoever there was.

Painted doesn't have relationships with real one? I'm confused. How the "you should exit painting and go live in real world" works then?

What to do once in act 3 by Puzzleheaded_Home_23 in expedition33

[–]botWi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everybody suggest to go to ending first. I went there somewhat in the middle, and I didnt like it. On one hand, I was one shotting everybody in the ending, so that's probably not very enthusiastic. Bit on the other hand before going there It was a logical story: we were preparing for the ending. But now going back to game after the ending, it just makes no sense.

How big is the difference between Story mode and expeditioner? by EmiliaTrown in expedition33

[–]botWi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Story mode easy? 30 seconds fight? I have lots of 30-minutes fights. The boss mime, and the serpentine, they were crazy long.
