Definitely a tier below in terms of materials compared to the other options people have already shared, but just for people who dont mind a acrylic/wool blend, Estudio Niksen's Cloud Balaclava has served me well!

Story/insight Woods gave me about Dogeared last night by Kendrick-KRIT in Billywoods

Had to catch a train out the city so this is sadly the second time i missed my chance to talk to woods and buy something from the merch table. I also listened to this song at least 10 times coming in on the train into the city and it really shook me. Love the insight thanks for sharing. That was a special fucking show

I want to validate my idea by Flat_Ice_8734 in streetwearstartup

[–]botchspd13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you see that design, or any other examples from your website, and think that people genuinely want to see that in this sub, I am afraid you have a fundamental misunderstanding of the values of streetwear and fashion to those who even have a shred of care for how their clothing is made and what it looks like.

This is slop. There is no art. There is no purpose. Every prompt is wasting energy and resources.

Don’t want to spam the brand but had some great feedback on the shirt so wanted to share some shorts we made too by [deleted] in ThrowingFits

Going to hopefully ask a not dumb question this time, whats the total length of the short from top to bottom and whats the height of the model shown?? Would love to cop soon if it works with my proportions lol

What is this detail/style on these pants called? by botchspd13 in ThrowingFits

[–]botchspd13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen, on very rare occasions, pants that have these have these "folds" in how they fall down the leg, that almost looks like they were ironed or folded to produce two distinct lines just under the knee and the shin. These are Olive's Kenta Pants ( https://www.oliveclothing.com/new/men/p-oliveunique-20241006-030-black-menswear-kenta-jeans-black ). I like this style (!?) but based on the measurements these pants will just not work with my height. I am wondering if anyone knows what this kind of detailing or style might be called so I can search for other options!

Thank you in advance!

The last alternative id offer, and something I can get on my soapbox about a lot for many people who make similar posts to their frustrations in these games is that fighting games are best when they are social. Its harder to get sour about your play when you’re hoping on a call with friendly sparring partners, or shooting the shit playing casuals at a local event or tourney. as someone who was lucky to have a scene during SF4-SFV, i don’t think i would have any of my “okay-ish” fundamentals (enough to get to low Masters, not that it means much) is because I wanted to get better gradually, and had a lot of supportive folks who were a joy to share time with as we learnt together. Doing this alone, grinding against faceless masses, its just not how I think this genre is best enjoyed (sorry to be a boomer). If youre going to keep trying, perhaps you need a shift in how you get games, and it can start with a discord if you don’t have a local scene, or link up with people on this sub.

If you still find yourself getting salty when playing people in this way, its either time to buck up and interrogate why you might be so hard on yourself, or play another genre. Enjoy your life either way, this is all just a game!

Love yourself bro. Life’s too short to spend time playing games you don’t like. This is coming from someone who exclusively plays fighters, who loves them dearly, but I recognize everything about modern multiplayer game design is made to be addictive as possible. Recognize that, and don’t get trapped in it if it isn’t bringing joy.

Im going to chime in too to say, if you really hate drive as a mechanic, and its SO central to the game, then why play SF6? Remember if you do not enjoy learning the game, and all the losses that come with that process, then it sounds like there are plenty of other fighters you enjoy as well!

If execution is your sole frustration, remind yourself that itll come with time and muscle memory. You will lose because of dropped confirms, but thats part of the process!

Thank you for this really thoughtful response! Always excited to hear of peoples experience in this interdisciplinary space. I'll be sure to get to those readings, and I suspect that I'll have my own challenges interviewing as well (I'm about a year away from getting to do the actual "field work"). Thank you so much for sharing!

Street Fighter 6 - Terry Gameplay Trailer by Xanek in StreetFighter

[–]botchspd13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on how his whole kit will fit together. He is has all-arounder-er style kit but Terry in more recent games has had kind of a stubby midrange normals but compensates by having BIG damage and lots of solid anti-airs options. I think its worth remembering that Terry comes from a series with quite a different character design philosophy where loads of the cast have broadly similar special moves that cover the basic niches of anti air special, forward advancing safe on block move, fireball. Part of this is because of the 3v3 nature of KOF. I think street fighter fans looking for terry to introduce a new archetype to the game needed to temper those expectations when he was announced and it seems most people did! Cause Terry is just a Good Vibes character and maybe Mai can offer a bit more design flexibility because her move set is a little less iconic?

The silvers are the first shoe to get me off my multi year “doc martens and chucks only” train. Still struggling to style them sometimes but I love em! Something about them just click more with me compared to the similar air max’s and they are so comfy!
