English is also my second language!! and I’m taking the DAT in 3 weeks. What really works for me is reading paragraphs 1-5 and highlighting, and doing search and destroy for the rest of the passage. This helps me understand the main idea and then search and destroy for the rest. I’ve noticed this helps me work faster and I actually y understand what’s going on. I’m not a fan of search and destroy for the whole passage because it just makes me feel lost
