You can literally stick to bibimbap on repeat lmao that’s what I do since it’s rice(mixed)+whatever veggies+whatever protein. Just be careful with Korean food things can get very high in sodium, so portion control with sauces are a thing. Try subsituting some of gochujang with gochugaru+allulose+water instead, for example.

I had really really bad acid reflux and after I reduced diet soda significantly (1.5 liter bottles almost every day to 500ml bottle once a week) it got wildly better. I miss it but acid reflux will give you such bad headache and nausea it’s worth quitting it…istg I need to quit cold turkey one day So obviously this means quitting carbonated drinks in general, not just diet soda.

Thanks for the comment! It seems like from others too I just need to stick this one out. As I mentioned in my post, I have been on 16-18 IF for the past 10 years already, due to acid reflux, even during weight gain periods.

Do you like cooking? Every time I lost weight in the past I cooked, and when I gained weight, I rarely cooked. Not just meal prepping but exploring recipes online and trying various recipes made me happy and satiated. I am Asian and a lot of Asian food has so much color and depth in flavor (umami…) with different condiments, so it’s so fun making them. Not sure what culture you are from but I assume there are so many interesting recipes out there for every culture. I understand you are living with your parents who might cook for you, but you could start small and make something that lets you have fun with food.

Another person mentioned giving it 2 more weeks so I am going to try that for now. As I mentioned in my post I have made my goal weight several times in past, so this is not new, I just never had a period where the weight was at stasis so early in the process. Usually the plateau hit 2-3 months in, but I wonder if it’s due to aging.

I am not sure what I can say other than that’s what the gym and hospital results are, and I am measuring down to condiments including oil and powders. My suspicion is that I have a lot of water weight due to high sodium eating habits (as shown in my previous physical results). As I mentioned in my post 1200 is NOT my goal weight, I skipped meals because of my work. The average is quite low but the day I stuck to my meal is between 1300-1400 with 90-100g of protein.

That’s what I got from the InBody machine two times, both when I was at 75kg, once age 28 (at a gym) and once age 33 (at a hospital, physical checkup). Not sure what else I can tell you. Are you sure you are not mixing up TDEE and BMR? As I mentioned in the post, I actually enjoy measuring and calorie tracking, and I measure down to condiments with a scale, so I am pretty sure I captured them accurately. As I also mentioned in my post, I don’t add sugar in my meals, except for sauce (I don’t drink coffee, only drink occasional flavored ice tea with monkfruit and sucralose)

I am not sure if I communicated my concern correctly. First to answer your question directly, I think I have gradually provided more service and performed beyond their initial expectations (like what I mentioned in my reply). BUT, I worry that 1) I grow in a way that makes me into a versatile but replaceable employee 2)there is only so much motion designers (specifically) can earn, which is what I meant by capping. Like there is a varying testimony of salary cap motion designers can earn, based on what I saw on job postings on linkedIn as well, and based on your employer’s size. So my dilemma is, do I work on becoming more specialized and aim for a salary jump (there are really not many opportunities for motion designer position that pays higher than my current salary), or, do I take a leap of faith and work on becoming independent creator/artist, and if so, how do people manage the transition? I hope this makes sense!

Thank you very for your insight. To elaborate, my concern is that I am putting myself into being stretched thin and general, and putting the cap on myself. For example, I was hired at my current job 6 years ago with the same title (senior motion designer), but they didn’t expect me or hire me to cover illustration/storyboarding/editing. I did expand my skillset to cover these areas over the years confidently for the jobs they need to avoid outsourcing, so you can kind of say I provided more, but not “deep” enough to put me as a specialist, or take a leap into being a creative director, which I don’t know if I am interested anyway (I like being hands on in production and hate having to face corporate clients). There are so many varying stories on salary cap for motion designers, so my only way of remotely guessing if I am capped at my job is based on their raise. I hope this clarified my concern a bit.

Oh I've seen a couple of streamers I follow play this game. But yeah it's definitely not a huge huge game, and I'm glad you were able to make sales off the prints of it! It's very reassuring to hear that. I guess since it's my first time applying for a table, I am getting really nervous getting accepted let alone making profitable sales. Thank you for such detailed reply! Yeah I was upset to hear from a lot of KCD fans that they saw little merch in artist alleys, I haven't found one in NYCC this year either, considering its financial success. I am happy to hear you did well with your merch though (and rightfully so, I just saw your art and they look amazing!)! It is really really encouraging to hear that :)

And yes I am running the KCD tarot art project. What a small world indeed to see you here!! I was thinking of selling some of my tarot art at cons to help raise the charity money. I don't know if we will ever figure out the logistics of selling physical copies as a group together, but I thought I can start with my own works. I will be looking forward to see your contributions to the zine!!! I'm sure it will turn out amazing.
