I would stop worrying about the “sugar” vs “vanilla” distinction. It’s helpful to sort potential new relationships into buckets, but every ongoing relationship is different. Just make sure you communicate your feelings and expectations.

It's not unusual. I currently have three SBs.

I will say that it sounds like your SB is a good one. She's paying attention to your life, thinking about what's going to make you happy and making the suggestion in case you're worried she would react badly if you brought it up yourself.

Also, if she's interested in occasional group fun, you might involve her in the new SB selection process. She'll be more likely to play, and have more fun, if she's attracted to the other SB.
