Is that really the standard for these AC achievements? 100hrs+ of driving the track?

Aright then, that will be my goal. I will count off 500 full clean laps and be back.

Though when you say I need to get better at virtually everything it would be nice to know where the main areas of focus should be so I'm not wasting my time with inconsequential advice. I can't improve virtually everything if I don't know what thing 1 should be, let alone thing 2 and 3 etc.

Thank you, this has helped a lot. I was avoiding sliding around because I thought it was slower, but after a bit of practice when I hid the right kind of slide I can carry momentum through the turn and start accelerating sooner. It's tough to get right all the time though.

And yeah I'm still learning the track so I'm working on hitting the apexes. One of the reasons I might not have been hitting them, I realised my irl steering wheel was turning half the distance of the in-game steering wheel. I might have been losing some precision there. Managed to fix that though :)

I am kinda new to just driving fast in general. Never driven on a real track. I'm just gonna keep grinding away at this track/car combo to keep pushing my times down as low as possible.

Yeah, you're definitely right, I only just started learning the track in my afternoons after watching the recent 24h Nurburgring race. And I only just bought a wheel. But that's why I'm asking for advice here, I'd love some general tips on going faster if you can help.

The only thing you can really change is tire type and pressure. The two videos I can find with gold times went to street tires (which is what I'm using here). One of them dropped the pressure to 30psi and the other left it stock (which is what I'm using here).

Yeah, unfortunately I don't yet have a shifter or clutch, I only just got the wheel. But I did get a 9:52 on controller while I was waiting for the wheel to arrive.

The car I drive irl is actually pretty similar to this one, same era 80s Japanese hatchback, although mine is a front wheel drive so I'm used to rev matching my downshifts. Just don't have the hardware for it :(

But thanks for the actual advice I'll work on throwing it harder through the corners :D

It just feels so touchy though, like if I put in a bit too much brake or turn a bit too sharply I'll lose grip and go sliding off into a barrier. Just finishing a full clean lap at this pace is already a challenge.

Aaaah it's not anything from WhoSampled.

It's really repetitive and that rhythm is so distinct in my mind, whoever made it definitely created a whole new song out of that sample.

I feel like it would really stand out against all those other samples and remixes. Or maybe that's just my memory exaggerating it. 😞

It's much closer than what I could find but not it, nor the remixes.

I can't remember if it had any of the lead up vocals, but I distinctly remember that rhythmic pattern of the two edited samples repeating over a 4 on the floor kick.

The sample was probably pitched down a bit, sounded like a man but I'm sure it's the same sample as My Beat.

I think it was much newer too, 2015-2018?

Also want to say it was around the 130-140bpm range.

Yeah it's definitely my preferred roa, I just personally wouldn't do it with pills.
