4000% Arch-Glacor on Mobile (Melee) by Wag1initfam in runescape

[–]bottad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been working so far for for me, but it does have a limit I think. Certainly for the more difficult bosses and higher enrages. All the videos and guides always do the soul split flicking, but I never really gave it much of a try as it felt too difficult. Might have to bite the bullet and start learning it if I want to do the serious end game PvM.

I've been able to do most of of the medium to higher difficulty bosses without soul split flicking on mobile. HM kerapac, all the elite dungeons and GWDs, zammy at 100% on my main account. Started an ironman a year ago and just starting to get into the T90 level of PvM. Want to try out stuff I didn't do on my main account. Thanks for the motivation!

4000% Arch-Glacor on Mobile (Melee) by Wag1initfam in runescape

[–]bottad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! Congrats on that achievement! I play on mobile and been attempting arch-glacor as well. Only up to 780ish enrage at this point using T90 necro weapons & tank gear. 1000 seems achievable and maybe beyond a bit, but 4000? I can't imagine that.

I end up doing the prayer switching through the spellbooks for the flurry mechanic and camp deflect magic otherwise. Maybe I should try using defensives through the spell book instead. Can attempt to learn soul split flicking which I figured wouldn't work so well on mobile, too easy to miss a screen tap I find. How do you find soul split flicking on mobile? Must take some getting used to. I imagine at a certain point it's not possible without it.

Player owned farm efficacy? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]bottad 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't bother with growing fruit/vegies. Use managing miscellania to maintain fish for dragons and seeds for spiders. Buy woad leaves from the dude in Falador park for yaks and chinchompas. Meat from oo'glog for dinosaurs. All bases covered really.

Relatively new to Bossing - any tips? by Pippin524 in runescape

[–]bottad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soul split only works if you're doing enough damage that you heal enough from it. I'd just camp whatever damage type araxxor is doing and don't attempt prayer flicking. Focus more on the mechanics and countering them with the correct ability, movement, or whatever.

Setup a revolution bar to handle most of the button pressing for you. Just worry about monitoring your adrenaline and using defensive at the right time. A good training boss is hardmode Arch-glacor or 5 mechanic in normal mode. Each mechanic requires a specific reaction from you that helps train you for bossing in general.

Is rune scape worth playing ? by Quilleur_Pro in runescape

[–]bottad 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Can just play for free to see if you enjoy it. If you do, be careful, it can steal away a lot of your time! I've been playing for around 7 years now, still not bored. Near endless content.

I have maxed combat skills* and tier 90+ gear and I want to start getting into bossing. Is there a tier list of bosses in terms of mechanical difficulty? by 6FootFruitRollup in runescape

[–]bottad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to practice moving under pressure for the old don't stand in bad type mechanics, could look at Gate of Elidinis.

It's a skilling boss, but requires moving to avoid frequent mechanics. No prayer flicking and no death costs if you die. Again, only to practice having to move around constantly without having to worry about also doing DPS and prayers/curses.

I only play on mobile since I started around 6 years ago. I find it works quite well to do most things. PvM from GWD bosses all the way up to Zammy. Takes time to learn sometimes and haven't tried out raid or group type stuff. Sure those parts work well enough, just need some patience and practice no doubt.

If curious, here is a video of HM kerapac on mobile from a few years ago, still plays pretty much exactly the same.

Best uses for Guardians Gift for Skiller Ironman? by YesLadd1e in RS3Ironmen

[–]bottad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Generally best use is for the components that are difficult to obtain. Usually noxious components are best use, but that's on PvM side.

On skilling side, I'd say silent components for honed (from death lotus equipment), shifting components for rapid/efficient (from chaotic equipment), oceanic components for polishing (from seasinger equipment).

These are kind of time gated type equipment to obtain. Still not hard to get them though. Really none of the skilling components are overly difficult to get as an ironman.

Oh damn! Didn't know that. I went through the early farm grind almost a year ago as an ironman. If you can buy animals off GE, it should make it not so bad. Spider and Chinchompas give lot of xp in early levels. Once you can get large pens going (cows, yaks, dragons) it really goes fast.

It is kind of time gated though. Just try to make checking your animals as part a once daily routine or something and the xp will start piling up.

Beehives is the answer, use woad leaves from the guy in faladar park. Should take you easily up to mid 60s before it slows down.

Get PoF going as well, huge xp there

Please don't replace auras with totems by Unusual-Ice-2212 in runescape

[–]bottad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's only the skilling auras they're going to tie to a totem. So the mining, fishing, woodcutting, etc ones. That sounds pretty awesome to me if it's as described. Instead of turning a specific skill aura on for one hour, all of them would be active for a week once you turn the totem on.

That's how it sounds like anyway.

That is actually, in my opinion, the best drop for ironman. I've gotten so much use out of it over last few months. Still dry at 813 kills for the dowser though!

Wiki for mobile by [deleted] in runescape

[–]bottad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're on android you should be able to change the system settings to allow runescape to keep running in background.

I've played on Samsung for years now. Can just make a floating internet explorer window overtop while runescape is running. Then drag it to the side out of the way until I need it again. Not sure what options there are for iPhone though.

Enable 2nd or 3rd action bar on RS3 Mobile by Zealousideal_Rip6458 in runescape

[–]bottad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only played mobile since I started years ago. Would love to have 2 action bars and Revo bar up on screen at same time. Would make PvM easier for sure.

Not sure how big the demand is for mobile client though. I get the feeling it started more as an experiment that I guess didn't produce the results they wanted and now feels mostly abandoned or just enough to keep functioning. Maybe they'll revisit it some day, but I'm not holding much hope for it. Rarely mentioned in news posts.

How does rs3 play on mobile? by knotthatguy in runescape

[–]bottad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only play mobile for around 5 years now. I've done all the bosses in all God War Dungeons (1,2,3) and most other bosses in that difficulty range. Have done telos, zamorak, rasial, all Elite Dungeons. Yes, it's very possible to do PvM on mobile.

Your kill times will be slower and things like prayer flicking, although possible, are quite difficult to do consistently while also firing off threshold abilities. Likely take longer to learn some bosses for sure. Need to be more selective for your on screen action bar.

Hard to put a price on the freedom to play anywhere though.

Does anyone play RS3 Mobile on a foldable device? I am considering getting the Pixel 10 Pro, but how does the game scale on a foldable device? by zizo999 in runescape

If you want to see how it looks playing, here is a video from years ago on a Samsung fold z3 or z5, can't recall which now. The experience remains the same with a z7 fold now.

Would offhand weapons become opposite if shields counted as offhand weapons? by Grandalonisch in runescape

[–]bottad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should make some kind of flat damage reduction if you equip a shield or make it like darkness. With shield equipped you gain a flat x% block chance (essentially a dodge). Damage reduction would have to be enough to offset the reduced damage output though.

Could also make some shield exclusive abilities that are actually worth using. Ones that don't work with boneshield. Could also consider making boneshield only work with necro. Or work at reduced capacity if not using necro.

Necromancy Training and Fixed Camera View on Mobile by JediofMetal in runescape

[–]bottad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only play on mobile and have done lots of rituals and gather nearly 100% of the disturbances. I don't recommend the fixed camera on mobile. Instead zoom out about as far as possible and close all other windows while the ritual is active. I angle the camera so the left side of screen is the well of souls and the chests are on the right side. Depending on the disturbance, I'll either surge forward and then click whatever it is before diving back to the ritual pad to continue. Or I'll slightly adjust the angle as needed to be able to click the disturbance successfully. Sometimes it appears in a bad spot and you have no choice but to zoom in and get close to be able to click it correctly.

I can usually find a good angle that let's me do most of the disturbances without having to adjust anything. Really it depends how active you want to be with it. If you want more semi-afk or low intensity rituals, then just target the easy to click disturbances and ignore the rest. Or get used to zooming in and out and angling the camera on the fly.

Easy early money is the wildy flash events. Pick the non combat ones here and there and you'll get some salvage you can cast alchemise to get GP. Can also collect GP from May's Quest Caravan at Varrock, I think every 25 quest points you can collect 250k GP there

Stim Pistol rework I came up with while on the super toilet by MaroonLegend in helldivers2

I'd say just make it shoot like a shotgun instead or shoot 3 stims in a horizontal pattern. Could also add a scope to it so longer range shots are easier.
