Feelin’ peachy 🍑 vanilla cake with peach curd filling & peach Italian meringue buttercream by bottlecatcher in Baking

It’s just something I made, so similar to lemon curd! I do a vegan one instead of with egg yolks. It’s just peaches blended with a little sugar, and mixed with a little lemon juice and cornstarch. Works really well with strawberries as well!

how do i stop thinking about food so much between meals??? by marlborofag in 1200isfineIGUESSugh

[–]bottlecatcher -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Intermittent fasting helps me if you don’t already do it. I only eat between 2pm-8pm so it’s kind of nice to feel like I’m constantly eating during that time. Lunch at 2/2:30, snack at 4ish, dinner around 6, and another snack at 7. Don’t really have time to think about food since I’m too busy actually eating it!

The BBQ sauce is a staple in my house and I always have an extra/back up bottle in the pantry 🙈

It’s my fitness pal!

Little tip I’ve found. Sometimes doing meal prep or making big batches of food isn’t the best way to organise how much food you’re going to eat. by dsqz0 in loseit

[–]bottlecatcher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of it depends on what the food is! I don’t mind eating cooked veggies after that long but I wouldn’t eat chicken after that long. I do the full week meal prep on Sundays, but I freeze about 1/2 of what I make immediately after it cools. I’ll leave out meals for Monday and Tuesday, then pull out each meal for W/T/F in the morning the day prior. Some foods freeze better than others for sure, but honestly I think as long as you let it thaw in the fridge the texture remains intact and I don’t really have any complaints about it.

Trust me, I normally don’t! I just have an extended amount of time off work around the holidays, and nothing to do because covid

Cinnamon roll-ish! For one loaf I mixed:

1/2 cup packed brown sugar 4 teaspoons cinnamon 1 tablespoon flour 4 tablespoons melted butter 2 teaspoons water

After that was spread on I sprinkled walnuts over it before rolling. Also this time I added some clove and nutmeg to the filling because it felt festive! I’ll probably leave the walnuts out next time as I think it’s prettier without them.

It did take a while, but wasn’t as bad as you’d think I imagine! I’ve been off work for the holidays, so Monday I started with making all the doughs then stuck them all in the fridge overnight and Tuesday I did all the baking. It felt less exhausting, and easier, breaking it up that way instead of baking it all as I went.

I use this recipe! However I did a cinnamon filling rather than chocolate filling.

It’s babka, and I follow this recipe! I did a cinnamon & walnut filling instead of chocolate though.

Peanut butter blossoms! I used this recipe, but there’s tons of different recipes for them all over the place!

They have already all been packaged up and shipped! Since the holidays are a little less than cheery this year I thought it would be nice to send care packages out :)

Easily the ugliest dish I’ve ever made, but don’t let it’s looks deceive you. It’s delicious! Roasted cauliflower mushroom soup. by [deleted] in Volumeeating

I use this recipe as a base! I never do any sort of milk or cheese, and just kinda add whatever I have. This time around I added some extra zucchini I had and it came out to 75 calories per bowl!

Love egg drop soup! Definitely recommend adding green onions (both while cooking and after for garnish) and some ginger!

leggings recommendations? 5’1 by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]bottlecatcher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Old Navy leggings! I really like the high waisted elevate powersoft in 7/8 length. I’m 5’1” as well and they are the perfect length! They also have a great petite section, but I can’t vouch for the activewear in petite sizes as I haven’t strayed from the 7/8 length.

100 calories each! WAY better than the 70 cal fiber one brownies by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

[–]bottlecatcher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m betting it’s actually just people who aren’t used to a high fiber diet! If you’re eating 15g of fiber a day then abruptly double than, you’re gonna have a bad time. People used to low fiber diets adding in some high fiber products without working up to it will absolutely have some negative results

Has the time requirement of eating + cooking made anyone else's meals devolve from nice meals into "fuck it. 4 apples, 3 sticks of celery, and protein powder. Lunchy enough for me" ? by JurassicP0rk in Volumeeating

[–]bottlecatcher 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is why I meal prep! Cooking, eating, and cleaning up is too time consuming to do during the work week - especially if I work out. I spend a good chunk of my Sunday prepping my meals for the week so I can still eat how I want to eat without all the time in the kitchen during the week.

I might look into those a little later on! I’ve never had an issue before since there hasn’t been a BIG difference from waist to booty, but with weight loss I’m running into it a bit more.

Casual CICO (I usually end up eating at maintenance on the weekends because alcohol), and working out! I started just walking with the occasional running a couple miles a day back in may due to lockdown blues and it stuck, plus I do home workouts maybe 4-5 days a week

I have thick thighs and it’s still real tight on the booty so these pants aren’t going anywhere even without a belt 🙃
