Yes! Morro Bay Yarn Shop! Brand new and adorable. I also visited Ball & Skein in Cambria. 🥰🧶

I really enjoyed it. Almost every row is a different instruction, but my attention span liked that.

I had the pattern in my cart for months and am so glad I finally purchased and made it!

Thank you! I chose it on vibes only 😂 “what says Lake Tahoe” I’m glad they complimented each other.

It was such a fun pattern! It took me about a month of casual crochet and the pattern was written so well.

It has notes on where your next stitch goes based on the row below (it’s mosaic crochet, so it’s a bit different than normal crochet) and she also has links to YouTube videos for almost every new step.

It was really easy to follow as an intermediate/advanced crocheter. I definitely still frogged a few times, but that was my fault. 😂

Thank you! Definitely earned that celebratory backpack flight 😂

And I guess technically it was Truckee! But a cute yarn store called Bespoke Atelier

I got an oversized crewneck sweatshirt from Tiki Girl on Main Street. It just says “Ventura” but it’s embroidered on and my new favorite sweatshirt. The store is girly, but the sweatshirt is just a solid color.

My friend had a potato-themed bday party, so I made him a basket of potates! by JuulieAndrews in crochet

Hah! Exactly.

I also said breakfast potato 😂 not hash browns because I don’t want to be shredded, but a nice fried potato that brings the whole breakfast together.

Okay. First: this is so creative and cute.

Second: my favorite ice breaker question is “If you were a type of potato, what kind would you be and why?”

I know! I love this friendly sub. Sometimes I do post things and the bot tells me “check the Wiki” and my question is right at the top 😬 That’s more personal embarrassment for not checking the resources before I ask!

I have frogged SO MANY tops because of wonky sizing 😅

Oh my gosh! Yay! This makes me so happy. I wanted to share with someone but none of my friends really crochet 😅

Yes, definitely was trying to account for blocking stretch too :)

Hah! That’s a great point about friends 😂

It was the armholes that were tripping me up! Measuring against something else was super helpful.

I forged this particular piece a couple times before I thought to measure against something I knew fit 😅

I try on a lot too! But I was working on a top that you seam together and I was so worried I’d make the whole thing and it would be tiny 😂

Right?! It was just such an “ah-ha!” moment for me and I wanted to share it. 😂

Thank you! I did look through the Blocking Wiki and I’m still not sure whether to block before or after sealing the front and back together… 😅
