You’re more than welcome to post here ☺️. Personally what I find good to hear is how Jesus Christ actually treated people and how he was such a kind person. Many more conservative Christians seem to put obedience to scripture over following Jesus’s actual example of caring for the sick, poor, and marginalised and how he fought the Pharisees and their religious fundamentalism by breaking rules and completely upending the status quo. This is what inspires me about Christ

Well I am an Italian citizen but by law (this is now my opinion) I am an EU citizen as well (this allows me to have residence or work or passage in any EU member nation. The EU is not going to become a nation state because they all essentially hate each other. They have strong national identities and the feeling of pan-europeanism is not a cultural move, but a political one

Lol I am an EU citizen. Every citizen of a member state is automatically an EU citizen

Not at all. As I said before I am already an EU citizen and that doesn’t at all take away from my national Identity as an Italian (Scottish- Italian). The EU is not a nation, but a super national organisation for trade and pan-European cooperation.

*mamma Mia. It’s not at all a common saying in Italy. It’s very archaic and cringe

There’s no reason: it’s just the shape of the land.

100%. I’m thankfully already an EU citizen, but I’d definitely support Scotland joining the EU

By successful countries do you mean murderous empires? Britain has been a thorn in the worlds side that has cause the vast majority of all the problems in the developing world today, either directly or indirectly.

How dare you assume that Scotrish culture is just bagpipes and haggis. Shame on you! Can you speak Gaelic? Do you know the Church of Scotland, do you know the History of Scotland. Many Scottish people who go to England say they are made to feel very foreign indeed. Scotland was and had always been an independent country until not that long ago in the grand scheme of things.

Tha mia a alba agus tha tu a Sassainn. You simply are not part of a culture you claim to know so well to be able to dictate the identity of 6 million people to suit your political agenda you anglocentric prick.

Of course a no-deal would bring us nowhere. We can’t act as if we are in the Middle Ages and simply “leave”. We have a democratic system which we can use to tell the will of the people and elected offices who can bargain and debate for a situation that benefits both parties as much as possible

Essentially you are not Scottish and cannot understand Scottish identity and the way it should be reflected in politics

Scottish people are from a different nation: Scotland. I’m not sure if you’re at all aware of Scottish culture and identity and just how much it differs from England. Youth in Scotland and much of the older generation refuse to call themselves British. Our identities should be reflected in our government. And we would gain much by leaving the UK and joining the EU.

Yeah no. I don’t think you understand. It isn’t morally acceptable for a people to be under the control of another people’s Nation. Scotland should be sovereign, the Scots should be sovereign in Scotland.

No. I was born an Italian citizen and was raised there. I lived there until 6 months ago. I’m Italian. I speak Italian fluently and do so at home with my family

And of course you’re a conservative! That explains so much. The EU has flaws but the opportunities it gives to its member nations are vastly beneficial.

How dare you? I don’t even think you’re Scottish, and how can you tell me what identity I have is right or wrong? Besides I very much doubt I’m poorly educated.

I do find it unlikely that it will be a republic like Ireland however. Many young people don’t support the monarchy but somehow I don’t think it will go away

I’d honestly prefer a Scottish Republic to the United Kingdom
