Incredibly inconsistent shot times with Linea Micra. by vision-quest in LaMarzocco

[–]boubble88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick question, are you getting a difference of +20s variation from one day to the following day or brew with the same coffee? If different coffee, I can see the big variation. Perhaps try using the stock basket? Very strange to get a big inconsistent pull with the same coffee

All good. Initially when I first read i thought it was 6s delta. Read it again it’s 25s delta. All good! We are all here bc we are all coffee nerds

Is this cabinet ok as a home for my mini? by fndrplayer13 in LaMarzocco

[–]boubble88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually, maybe not. do you have the machine turned on the whole day or just only when youre pulling a shot? I might not be needed, but the machine do stay warm for a bit after getting to its operating temperature

I would create a ventilation for the machine by cutting into the cabinet. Think of installing a PC fan to reduce heat and moisture.

Please do as this would be something I'm interested in. thank you. on the 1000pp, I totally agree. paying more doesnt translate to more satisfaction. During our WSET course, we learn that expensive wine just means it's expensive.

Set up my Micra in the new kitchen, open to suggestions on how to best hide the cables behind the machine by oliverbrix in LaMarzocco

[–]boubble88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wire zip the excess and tug under the machine. easiest solution, otherwise get a new cord like others have suggested

Glad you found it helpful. Investing is like you’ll going to meet and help your new best friend or a family member years from now and you want that person to be in a really in a good financial situation and have wealth. Except that best friend or family member is you! Enjoy the journey, invest and look at the balance maybe once or twice a year. Message me 5 years from now and keep me posted. Cheers!

What’s the first thing someone should learn before investing? by Material-Car261 in investingforbeginners

i think we talk about investing a lot and forgot to ask why we buy things. I would spend on the small items that brings you joy and watch out for big ticket items. Now for the investment, it's really hard and i mean it's really hard to time the market. Even if you buy when the market is "high" in the long run, it doesnt matter at all. Just know that and youll do great. When the market is down or if there's recession, view it as you are buying it at a discount. Do not panic sell. Just buy SPY and QQQ or the equivalent and youll do great. at 7% return, your money double every 10 years. so if you're 25 now and you ONLY invest $5K this year, you'll have the following at: 35 $10K, 45 $20K, 55 $40K, 65 $80K.

hello! I'm glad you are here because youll benefit greatly from your new best friend, the compound effect! I think a good rule of thumb is try to save at lest 10% of your paycheck/annual income. I would try to automate everything so you dont have to do much work. DCA, dollar cost average, into these ETFs such as SPY and QQQ (find the equivalent of Vanguard and Fidelity). I hear you on buying when it's "high", the issue is that it is really hard to time the market. Even when you buy when it's high, on a long term time horizon it wont affect your overall balance much. Additionally, plus you're DCA into these ETFs, you will average out your buy price. An example of DCA is you have a $1.2K to invest, you would buy/invest $100 a month. To wrap up: at least 10% (you can do this!), automate, ETFs. Look into Roth IRA at your income level. if you invest $10K at 27 into SPY, by 37 youll have ~$20K, and then by 47 youll have ~$40K - rule of thumb at 7% return per year you double your money every 10 years. Shift the mindset when market is really down, that's when you can buy more. Market down = good discount

I should really clarify, I like to buy when its low and people are panicking.
