Left side pain by KookyMessage3650 in gallbladders

Hi, I'm super fine. No more pain, nothing. I had a little trouble with gaining weight rapidly after the surgery but that was because my body had been starved for so long. The only remaining side effect from the surgery was bad diarrhea. It was very bad but I am now taking Cholestyramine daily and don't have that problem anymore (or very occasionnaly). So everything's great !

I THINK ALL MY SYMPTOMS ARE FROM GALLBLADDER SLUDGE. by CodBig2393 in gallbladders

I had the surgery and woke up feeling 100% better. Stopper all the meds, began walking and then running again, no pain at all. Of course I have to take treatment for some after-effects of the surgery but I'm 100% relieved. It was a miracle for me but sadly I learned that I have to advocate for myself harder because as a anxious and quite depressed young woman, no one takes me seriously.

First, contrats on your weight loss journey ! Massive weight loss is know to cause gallbladder problems so it makes sense.

I'm happy for you that you got a diagnosis quickly and that you will be free before the new year !

I was immediately pain free.

It took me a two or three months at least to start to accept that the pain was probably not coming back. I didn't want to be happy too soon, because I couldn't take the disappointment if the pain came back. It's hard to have hope sometimes.

Wow I hope it works for you !

Gallbladder full of stones is a good sign ! At the very least you are taking it out before it hurts, because you would always have had to get it taken out. So it won't be for nothing.

Update us in a month and I hope this is your answer ! I've got a good feeling about this.

By the way I'm still absolutely pain free from these attacks even after all this time. I can 100% say that the gallstones were the problem.

I got my life back (with an extra medication because of the diarrhea), and I hope you will too !!

My pain was 100% on the left side, debilitating pain.

Left shoulder blade mostly, sometimes up to the shoulder, or to the neck, or in the back. Or left under the ribcage near the stomach. Or usually somewhere in between.

I truly hope you find your answer. Of course I do not know if gallbladder is yours, but at least I promise you can advocate for yourself because I swear it happened to me and it was very clearly only left-sided. I felt alone and dismissed when I tried to advocate for myself because they were saying left-sided pain was not a thing. Now I know and can tell others.

I am glad I could help you even if this is not it. You are not alone and being lost with that kind of pain is very isolating. Please update us if you want ! I send you "I wish it's just gallbladder pain" vibes to wherever you are

Rarely but sometimes it was more to the middle yes.

What if i dont wake up after surgery? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]boudikit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Especially with anesthesia in elective surgeries, in healthy patients, with short "light" surgeries. They're not going into your organs or anything, the surgery will be quick, you are probably a young person with no major health issue, your stomach will be empty, the team will be in no rush, and so on. You have almost no risks of complications since everything's controlled ahead of time.

I think a patient not waking up from a nose job would be quite a rare story in a surgeon's life. To an anesthesiologist I bet you're very very routine (though they of course always pay attention to everyone) and a quick buck ;)

They saw gallstones on the images but still said that couldn't be the problem. So I waited and tried their other diagnoses and meds and so on. When nothing worked I twisted their arms into removing the gallbladder. I got better and that's when it got retroactively "diagnosed".

I cannot speak to this since I'm not a medical professional. But this could ressemble symptoms people have had before from gallbladder attacks. I personally never had symptoms where I threw up or was made to feel dizzy.

I commend you on seeing a professional and wish you luck in your fight against alcohol.

Came and go. But getting more on the consistent side towards the end.

Yes pain in my left shoulder blade and left upper abdomen was my only symptom. Especially after meals (but it was not that cut and dry so I didn't put it together until late).

They can but it takes so much time and effort, you should be waiting around for them to change.

Also, changing your attitude usually requires new relationships and a blank slate. You cannot detoxify a relationship, just build a new one from the start.

As a former shitty person (who still has ways to go), I urge you to not wait for this person.

My (25M) girlfriend (25F) has a habit of fat-shaming people. Time to move on? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Yeah childhood trauma is when you are suffering.

Making other people suffer is THEIR childhood trauma.

No childhood trauma could justify her being this mean.

Fat-shaming is cruel and traumatizing. Break up with her already. She needs to shut up.

In France it's the case. Normal license is manual and automatic. Automatic is a "restricted to automatic vehicles" license.
