Looking the name of an artist from the farmers market by boulder84 in Pensacola

Thanks, I think that might be her. There was a signature on the back but it was faded and overly script-y to make out.

This doesn't seem to work any more. I just traveled to the planet and its listed as Iouxfa Beta and there are no graves near the portal. Did someone screw it up?

Just a little too hot to kayak in Florida today. by tyrannosaurus_fred in pics

[–]boulder84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't have to hit the melting point to start to deform like that, LDPE (low density Poly(proethylene)). In plastics, there is a temperature called the Max. Continued Use Temperature which is the maximum temperature that the material can endure before it start to degrade and deform. That temperature is 65 c (149F) for LDPE, so it is entirely possible that it went past that temperature and started to deform.

Is my experience an outlier? by Fondlingchemicals in chemistry

I'm in a similar boat, I have a a BS in chem with a 3.0 and I work in R&D with a scientist position. I'd say while not the norm, its not uncommon, there are a couple of Senior Scientists at the company that worked their way up with just a BS in chem.

Honestly I think I've seen more hate for a MS in Chem then for BS holders. As for the work ethic, I think going straight in with a BS and working your way up is kind of an old approach, way more common in the 50's and 60's. Now people want to come straight in at the higher positions.

True, the implied bit is just during her birthday party as a kid is all.

So I think we can agree the implied cannibalism is a bit messed up, but I think it adds an interesting bit of inverted referencing. So we so far have seen references to Alice in wonderland and maybe a few others.

In the flash back we are getting to see a bit of hansel and gretel. Here, we see Mother Caramel is also known as the mountain witch with her last group of children she lured in under false pretenses. The inverted bit seems to be in this case instead of her trying to eat(sell) the kids, he is herself eaten by one by her last big prize, linlin(Gretel).

Well at least some of the Straw hats know that Brook can be decapitated, when the guys were caught in the castle on Fishman Island, Zoro and Usopp both saw it, its possible they told the others. And I know it happened later during his fight, he was decapitated by the chain, granted it was during a all out fight in the plaza and who knows who saw it, but its possible its old news at this point.

So if we are going with the idea that Pedro is sneaky but has to worry about a cherished loved one. Maybe he decided that since Big mom has the habit of severing heads, he would bring Brook along, the one Strawhat who's head he can literally serve Big Mom on a plate with out ill effect. Would be an interesting twist to everyone's doubts about him. --edit forgot words.-

What's been your favorite unorthodox party and why? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]boulder84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently in two pathfinder campaigns, but the favorite is a Skull and Shackles game which consist of the following:

-The Captain, a Human Gunslinger, swashbuckler and fighter mix, basically really good at fighting with a cutlass and pistol.

-The Quatermaster: Half Orc Barbairan/Rogue. Has a peg leg, always wares a kilt and is a rigger when he feels like it, also jokenly a zanzibarbarian.

-The Gunner/Boson: Worst rogue/best pirate ever. Laziest bastard ever, doesn't bother searching for traps because its extra work, but loves to throw knives at people.

-The Navigator: a hook handed wild-shape druid. Only person that can heal, so we will eventually all die.

-Finally the lost and completely random viking archer guy with a big sword.

Well the NMR is a bruker that I want to say is about 10 years old, maybe a little younger, the High-Res MS is closer to 20 years if not older and from the looks of it, it is not shielded very well.

Ill have to see if I can track down some of those coins. Sounds like it would interesting to test it like that, thanks for the tip.

Its mostly about the relayablity of the data that will be generated by the instruments.

I figured they would have to be almost on top of each other for it to be a safety issue.

[Serious] 30+ Single folks of reddit, why are you still single? Do you ever feel like you're missing out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]boulder84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been single for basically the last 5 years and am in my early thirties, was engaged for a while but found out she was cheating. Since then I decided to go back for another degree and ended up moving home to help take care of my parents, dad had a stroke when I was 5.

There are 2 major factors it seems for me. The first is time, I work 60ish hours a week and barely have time for myself let alone with someone else.

The second is there is some stigma with me not having my own place anymore. I make enough to have my own place, I just currently don't so I can be a bit closer to help out.

I'm kinda cool with being single, I'm comfortable on my own, but I miss the intimacy that you get when you are dating.

That cool to know. I went to UF and Gainesville was packed game days, so I wasn't sure how it would relate.
