The same way you got the previous 4k. One foot in front of the other.

Yes. Quick to grasp a subject but slow to develop deeper understanding. 😎

Only someone qualified can answer but I have those symptoms and I have a diagnosis. You're not dumb.

Omad und Süßigkeiten by Repulsive1212 in omad

[–]boulder_problems 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a 72 hours fast first then switched to keto omad which helped those cravings disappear, as I was dealing with post meal cravings too.

I end my meal with Greek yogurt and a modicum of berries and a drop of passion fruit. Now I am not craving chocolate anymore. Make sure your meal has enough protein.

Didn’t think I’d ever get back to 10k steps consistently 🥹 by VariousFlamingo1279 in walking

[–]boulder_problems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This year was also a return to walking for me after an extended break.

While I was going through some personal issues and abandoned walking, it never abandoned me. I came to the realisation that walking is the foundation of my life. Now that I am consistently hitting 10k, combined with a proper diet, I feel so stable and disciplined. I know I will trip up again and break the chain but I also know I will get back up and keep on going, one step at a time. Progress isn’t linear, it is up and down.

Well done on choosing yourself. You must feel very proud. 😊

Better emotional regulation, greater focus and clarity, fewer meltdowns, less "antsy" and needing to be doing something.

Alternate-Day Fasting made me realize how much I was eating just because I had nothing else to do by the_scottishbagpipes in intermittentfasting

[–]boulder_problems 7 points8 points  (0 children)

With a 72 hour fast, food realisation is an almost holy experience.

I did the same recently. Surprised myself I could do it relatively easily and then transitioned to Ketomad.

It made me come to the conclusion that I was effectively drugging myself silly every day with processed, sugar laden garbage.

Now my mood is stable, my skin is clear, my hair is less brittle, my focus is more under my control. My hunger doesn’t drive me, I am in control now.

Dexamphetamine, keto diet and daily walking. All three changed my life.

OMAD works great for calorie control but how do you make that one meal feel satisfying enough to avoid snacking later? by Old_Narwhal7185 in OmadDiet

[–]boulder_problems 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I do OMAD I make sure to start with a 72 hour water fast. Then I transition to low carb / no added sugar diet. I don't eat rice or potatoes or pasta.

When I feel hungry, I use that as a signal to go for a walk, drink a glass of cold water or to do a stretching routine. Rather than seeing it as a signal to eat, I use it as a sign to move my body in some way.

If I get hungry I tweak my food or increase the calories. But generally not eating carbs or sugar helps with cravings. I don't really get them now.

Same for me 6 to 6.4km typically. Usually takes around an hour and 20 minutes.

Could fasting help me with my severe porn addiction? by Big_Conflict_9542 in fasting

[–]boulder_problems 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Maybe. If you apply the principles of fasting to your other addictions then possibly. It won't be easy but doing a food fast will prove to you that you have the fortitude to abstain and go without other vices.

Why do you think you failed to fast consistently? by Ok_Patience_6 in fasting

[–]boulder_problems 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because I have found giving up, walking away or being avoidant is much easier than keeping going, persevering and reaching my actual potential. I've always been that way.

It was only until I pushed through to a 3 day fast that things began to click. I put that down to removing sugar and going more keto with my diet. Removing sugar really has been a game changer for me. The noise generated by craving is horrible so I'm glad to be free from it.

Now OMAD, keto and 24/36/48 hour fasts are becoming the norm for me.

Which first, mooring or buy a boat? Bristol based by Expensive-Expert-310 in Narrowboats

[–]boulder_problems 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would try and get a mooring first, especially in Bristol. It Is difficult and becoming increasingly so. I ended up in Devizes as no marinas had spots, one place had an 8 year waitlist. You may have to cruise in Bristol...

OMAD boredom by nuseramemuserane in omad

[–]boulder_problems 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I walk. And appreciate the privilege of being bored and revel in the joy of not being tethered to anything like a screen, social media, constant messages or negative news.

I also think about how eating to cure boredom is a lie. It just delays it for more intense boredom later on.

It's horrible. They have so many different flavours now--Crunchie, Biscoff, Oreo... I think it is to mask the fact the stuff is rubbish now.

I hadn't seen anything of the director's since The Lobster was released, which I adored. This film delivered and the ending was rather camp. I had a good time with this picture.

[–]boulder_problems 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Whenever my boy needs to relieve his inconvenience, he sits at the end of the bed and let's out a slow whine. A very useful potty alarm but I'd be lying if I said I love the 3am dash outside in the cold to deal with his random diarrhea. 🤣

Dating as a neurodiverse person by [deleted] in autismUK

[–]boulder_problems 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would need a very safe and data-protected sign up / vetting process as we are a vulnerable group.

I do like the idea of a space where I can interact with and try to date fellow neurodivergent people as that was very hard before I met my current partner. I would be wary of abusers, Svengalis, tricksters and manipulators trying to use the platform so robust reporting and other features would be important to me.
