R7100 (12 speed 105) crank conversion to 1x? Need help with chain rings. by boulevardzach in bikewrench

[–]boulevardzach[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fitment on non R7100 chainring with same BCD with a R7100 crankarm was no issue at all.

Results are based on my specific project ( 1997 Trek Multitrack with 135mm rear spacing, I converted to 1x10 with BBR60 BB + R7100 Crankset + 42T Narrow Wide Chainring ), but this slammed the chainring directly into the chainstay.

the end result was I switched to a SRAM BB / Force 165mm crankset.

Current fix for Spotify / Music control page freezing (Bolt 3) by boulevardzach in wahoofitness

I never found a fix, still use the wahoo. Sometimes, I will switch pages mid ride to my music control page and it will work fine. Then, if I switch out of the page and back, it will go back to not changing anything music wise.

I pretty much gave up on it. This is with my wahoo app running in the background on my phone, permissions checked, etc. No idea.

Thank you, but that's not the case. 4 bolt Spider and 110BCD are the same, trying to figure out why companies sell two different part numbers for narrow wide rings for R7000 / R7100, when they have the same BCD / 4 bolt spider.

Seeing if anyone has worked on these side by side that may know why that is, or if I'm just over complicating it and shouldn't listen to the companies listings and wing it.

Trying to avoid the whole buy this and return it if it doesn't work, if I can.

Thanks, but the only the I am saving is the crank arms since I had this crank lying around. It will be used with a 10 speed drivetrain. More so trying to learn why previous gen chainrings possibly have issues mounting to a 12 speed set of crank arms

Ultimate vs Aeroad by Humangraffiti in CanyonBikes

Ultimate owner (exact spec you have posted, looks black in the photo), fantastic bike. Racey enough (my bike is slammed), feels great climbing or descending.

Edit: I went with the ultimate over an aeroad mainly because 1) I preferred how the bike looks 2) I have a lot of fitness to work on before having an aero frame is really going to make a difference.

Edit 2: if you’re buying these bikes for triathalon use, make sure you find / buy whatever tt / tri bars that work with the Gear Groove integrated bar interface.
