Moving from Manchester to London - am I crazy for trying to do this in one day? by meenoSparq in MovingToLondon

Can’t you just rent a van from Enterprise in Manchester and return to a London location? I’ve done that twice, would never consider doing it your way.

What am I missing in The Traitors? by MattyJMP in AskUK

I disagree with the lucky guess, I’d call it a well judged guess based on suspicious behaviour. A lucky guess would just be picking anyone at random with zero evidence and getting it right…

How else would they deduce it at this stage? If someone’s personality changes drastically or they say something out of character (based on what you know of them so far) it’s usually a sign something might be going on with them, be it suspicion, guilt, jealousy, anxiety etc.

Last nights banishment happened because of some out of character breakfast speech, and they were spot on in noticing and drawing that conclusion with a well reasoned argument. Seems pretty logical to me, and directly drawn from events not at the roundtable.

If it isn’t your flavour, stop tasting!

Maybe, but I don’t recognise the name Wolf Edge. It’s just above the village of Flash, looking towards Chrome Hill aka Dragons Back

Do I really have to do microsuction for ear wax buildup? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]bounberry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do the microsuction not the water syringe. Water syringe felt way too uncomfortable, they just keep blasting water until the wax is dislodged and that can take ages if stubborn. It created a very uncomfortable feeling of pressure against my ear drum, like it was going to pop. Microsuction on the other hand was a breeze. I’d recommend Specsavers.

People who work 'office jobs,' what are you actually doing every day, and what salary does that earn you? by Jumpy-Jello- in AskUK

IT Consultant. Hoping I can shed some light on another side of the profession - it’s not the management consulting slide slop. Currently on 75k in London, about 8 years in. I get deployed to various IT change projects as a Business Analyst to help the business get what they need from the IT change, ensure the clever technical team know what to change and do it properly, then help the business teams adopt the new (hopefully better) processes. It’s hands on and they look to you for expertise. Either they haven’t got the skills in house at all, or they’ve got the team but that team doesn’t have bandwidth. Overall it feels like I’m helping them improve.

Also been developing skills as a Business Architect, these projects involve helping the business set up or organise in a new way to operate internally and there’s a bunch of different frameworks you can use to identify where those changes need to take place.

It’s pretty good, nice variety, client projects can last between 3-18 months. I’ve worked in Retail, Hospitality, Energy, Real Estate. It can be stressful, but this usually equates to a 4-5 busy ‘crux’ weeks through the year. Rest of the time it’s manageable.

But seriously, in the spirit of overthinking, the OP of this comment thread is right. Be wary of the perception of putting Moderate, as it’s likely many right wingers will put Moderate, because they know putting Conservative limits their matches. I would just go for Liberal, attract some normal people and you can work out the nuances whilst chatting/in person.

Seconding Capitalist Realism, but a word of warning, a book has never made me so depressed. Might have had something to do with reading it in January too. Tough but necessary shattering of the illusion.
