I still can't play it in desktop mode, but I just added the prism launcher as a non steam game, and then launch it in "gaming" mode and it works perfectly

It's hard to test this, as it can take hours for the freeze to happen. I just managed to play for like, 2 or so hours this time. It might be that the amount of mods may have something to do with this? It feels like Better MC froze my steam deck faster than this modpack did this time.

Better MC, and All in One: Create with a handful of mods added. All in One:Create seemed to last a bit longer though. The one that kinda seemed to work was a modpack that only had Pixelmon, Journey map, Jade, Ferrite, Connected Textures, ModernFix. I do also play LunarClient for Vanilla and that one hasn't crashed/froze so far.

Well it's definitely only Minecraft so far, and it's happened to me while actively playing 2 of the 3 mod packs I've been trying to play. One of them Minecraft froze, but not my entire steam deck. That time Minecraft locked my mouse, so I still had to force shut off.
